Possessive Male Elk - 09/30/11 02:21 PM
The Elks are out and about these days.  It seems like the males are getting possessive.

The pictures where shot in Estes Park at the golf course along Fish Creek Rd., by the two lakes when you drop down into Estes Park

The larger of the two elk had a harem of ladies around the corner and according to some other people, he had been running smaller bulls off all day to keep them away from his girls. Then this 6X6 bull decided he was going to challenge the bigger bull which was a 6X7 with more body weight … (2 comments)

These small repairs might seem unnecessary, but can easily turn out to be the difference between selling your house that day, or weeks later. You need to find an Aurora general contractor fast! You could easily call up the neighborhood handyman, but it is important to hire someone that has insurance and works for a … (0 comments)

A Beautiful Autumn Day in the Quaint Mountain Town of Estes Park, Co - 09/27/11 02:31 AM
I feel that there is no place as peaceful and beautiful at this time of year than in the mountains of Colorado. We were fortunate enough to spend a Sunday with a group of 40 of our good friends in the mountains of Estes Park and one of the best parts of the day is no cell phone reception! The picnic grounds allowed us to explore the hiking trails, long walks around the fishing lake and BBQ pits.We all brought dishes to share so there was plenty of food to go around.Games were played and we had music to dance to,.Since the group … (4 comments)

Does An Aurora Home Seller Have To Accept My Offer?
1. ContingenciesA contingency is a condition that must be met in order for the contract to be considered as legal. A common contingency is the buyer must be able to sell his Aurora home before a certain date. If a seller does not like any terms of the contingency he can refuse the offer.2. PriceThere are some people that offer crazy low prices for Aurora real estate in the hopes that the seller may accept it. Almost all of these offers are turned down and it would take a lot of … (0 comments)

Clearing The Clutter Before Your Aurora Move - 09/24/11 03:06 AM
Clearing The Clutter Before Your Aurora Move Moving can be a very stressful time, to say the least, but there is one thing that you can do to really take a lot of the frustration out of your Aurora move. You can de-clutter well before moving time to reduce the load being moved and to make things a lot easier on yourself.Moving is the action of packing up your valuables and possessions and then moving them to your new place. A lot of people confuse this action with organizing. They are, in fact, two completely different cycles that need to get … (2 comments)

Pay It Forward...How Many doors Can I Open? - 09/24/11 02:54 AM
This week’s challenge for me to pay it forward was to see how many doors I could hold open for people and who would say “thank you”.The total only came to 7..but not an ordinary 7.Total of three Mom’s with shopping bags and strollers trying to navigate pushing open the big doors and trying to get the stroller out at the same time.  They certainly needed my help. They said “thank you”.  That made me happy. One elderly lady with a walker.I held the elevator door for her.  Does that count?? I think it does. She said “thank you”.  That made me happy. Two families … (8 comments)

How To Do A Denver Real Estate Property Search - 09/13/11 11:15 AM
How To Do A Denver Real Estate Property Search It wasn't too long ago when buyers had to walk into a real estate office and look through physical pictures of homes in order to do a Denver real estate property search. Before the age of the Internet you either relied on your real estate agent's word and went out and visited properties based on his recommendations or you would go to see pictures at his office. This seems like eons ago, but really, it wasn't that long ago.Nowadays you have the freedom to look through the MLS® listings on the Internet … (4 comments)

Paying it Forward..Turning Off The Gas - 09/13/11 01:25 AM
Paying it Forward..Turning Off The GasWhen showing other agents properties it is also our responsibility to report anything that might not be right at the property.I showed a vacant house that was staged and the gas fireplace was burning.  At first I thought that it was a nice touch for our showing since it was staged. As we left the property the fireplace burning wouldn’t leave my mind.As I returned feedback to the listing agent I asked her if the fireplace should be on.She said “NO”.She also said that she lives about 1 hour away from the property so it might be … (4 comments)

9/11 The Sound of Silence Came Over America.. Paul Simon - 09/12/11 11:10 PM
9/11.. a day we will never forget. It’s been 10 years since it happened and it feels like is just happened yesterday.
This song by Paul Simon is heartbreaking and the tears will be hard to fight back. I listened to this song as I was typing through tears.
There’s nothing left to say.

Beautiful Changing of the Aspens in the Colorado MountainsEach year around the third week of September while driving through the mountains you will see Aspens changing from a rich dark green to very light green on their way to draining the chlorophyll out of their leaves. The new colors emerging are bright yellow, gold and orange.  They will light up in the mist of the dark green forest. The leaves will look like they are lit from within like Christmas lights.  There  are so many areas to choose from to view the greatness of the Aspens trees with their beautiful gold leaves … (3 comments)

Paying It Forward..A Nice Surprise for the Buyer - 09/08/11 11:08 PM
Pay It forward... A Nice Surprise for the BuyerAfter showing my handicapped buyer many homes she settled on one that met all of her requirements and needs. After the inspection we found out the swamp cooler and hot water heater were very old but functioning. The seller did not want to fix or replace them and though disappointed  the buyer followed through with the purchase.I was not comfortable with what might happen soon after closing with one of them having to be replaced. At the closing I presented her with a top of the line Home Warranty that will cover everything.A sign of relief … (8 comments)

Nail Polish Bottle Chandelier - 09/05/11 11:43 PM
Nail Polish Bottle ChandelierThis chandelier had to be thought up by a genius mind.Who would think to use left over nail polish bottles for a lighting fixture? Notice they are all the same bottles from a nail salon.I bet cleaning out the bottles was not a fun job but it certainly paid off.Anything left  laying around the house or garage probably could be use for some sort of lighting fixture.

Are You Just an Option to Someone? - 09/05/11 04:00 PM
As we go through our lives we have priorities that make us who we are.In a relationship is the other person  a priority to you and you are only an option to them?                                             This will take some soul searching but in the end things will be more peaceful.I think this could also apply to real estate with the client and and agent relationship. There needs to be priorities set on both sides in order for the relationship to be lasting. If the client has you an an option and you don’t know it the frustration will paralyze you from moving on.

Pay It Forward-How Was Your Dinner Tonight?
As we were standing in line waiting to get into the evening buffet there was an elderly couple in front of us.
I overheard a small discussion between the older couple and another person waiting in line about coupons that were good for that night’s dinner.
The older couple did not have a coupon and every penny is sacred to Seniors.I had  2 coupons with me thinking I would need one for myself and my husband.  As I was reading the terms of the coupon I saw that one coupon was good for 2 … (10 comments)
