Many Summit County homes have nearby fire hydrants that have been buried under piles of snow. Our recent plentiful snows have been a boon for skiers but make street and home maintenance difficult. We get the blame for our markets getting expensive. How many times have you heard that the Realtors are the reason prices are going up? If those darn Realtors wouldn't suggest such high prices we would be able to afford that house! I lost out on two listings this week to agents (14 comments)

The Pine Beetle has devastated our forests in Summit County and many Silverthorne, Frisco and Breckenridge homes have felt the effects as one after another, trees have died. I have experienced it first hand, as my home in Mesa Cortina, which backs to Forest Service land, has been in the thick (12 comments)

At the base of Peak One and along Lake Dillon is Frisco, centrally located to all of Summit County with the major ski areas, including Vail, just a short drive away. At the Frisco recreation peninsula is the nordic center, where you can find the finest in cross country skiing, snow-shoeing, (1 comments)

In Summit County, it is Breckenridge. Although if Frisco had more residential units it might be a close second. The average sale is priced 16% higher than it was this time last year, but we have 15% less sales. It is the old law of supply and demand. We only have (1 comments)
