You would never believe how much water I had on Sunday - Compared to Monday.
 
The Pemigewasset river took over my pond and back field area.

Same two piles of dirt 24 hours later...Flood my home - but grant me beauty and all is forgiven.

The White Mountain have cleared after a foot of rain -from Hurricane Irene.

While I put away lawn furniture and took down hammocks I snapped a few shots of a dry seasonal creek bed.

Saturday  1 O'clock.

Twenty four hours later the dry creek is filling the pond up rapidly.

over looking my small pond Saturday. About 12 feet deep in the middle.

We are about to over-flow the banks of the pond...over 20 feet deep right now and more rain on it's way.

This is the site where I took down my Hammock pre-storm...Relatively dry for August, more of a trickle.

I knew this day would come - from the moment my son was born, he was going to take wing and fly someday. Sure he's less that two hours away but college is different from camp , or a week away this time he's 18 and has choices I will not be consulted about.

The Sun is setting earlier each night - but that means we'll be looking at beautiful foliage scenes very soon.

The Kancamagus Scenic Highway is a National treasure, it is recognized as one of the best mountain drives on the east coast. Motorcyclist -Bicyclist - Campers and tourist of every nationality drive this route for the scenery. I have a real estate office on this Federally designated scenic highway, and often stop for coffee here on my way to work. It is still breathtaking to me and I see it everyday...without further adieu...enjoy the view.

The White Mountains are beautiful from a kayak, paddling down a quiet river. I'm just a week away from sending my son off to his freshman year of college. Although he'll be less than two hours away...this single father will miss his only child more than a two hour drive would indicate. So today the plan was to kayak the Pemigewasset, and chat a bit as we paddled along our route.

Short sales are not an exact science. In fact my research indicates any transaction where the mortgage holder(s) get less than the full pay off is a short sale. Yet there are all different "bank policies" that must guide each deal. That's right - no universal guideline to follow...it is more like a tennis match. Sunset in the White mountains of New Hampshire...It signals the end of a day and the start of a night. But it really is more than that, it is something to marvel at. When the sun goes down behind the mountains and clouds are just right to collect the colors it can be truly spectacular. Some may be thrilled with the sunset over the ocean, others enjoy it across the flat plains and farmers fields...for me there is nothing better than a mountain sunset. Played the Donald Ross course at Mount Washington Hotel at Bretton Woods in New Hampshire today.

The 18-hole Mount Washington Course was originally designed by legendary Scottish Architect Donald Ross and was completed in 1915.
