Summer returns to New Hampshire...White mountains NH - 06/29/12 06:23 PM
Let's look at a lazy summer day in New Hampshire.

Swimming off a raft...says summer time. (picture taken from one of my lake front listings).

A hammock with a stream for musical background says summer time.

A duck in the shallow lily pads...waits for an easy meal...it's too hot to work hard.
watching the clouds overhead...while it's still daylight at 8 pm...feels like summer time.

Followed by a 9 pm sunset...in the white mountains of New Hampshire...Summer in New England

Decorate with green, and bring life to your home. - 06/27/12 05:56 AM
As we all grew into adulthood and got our first “place”, there were several ubiquitous things that appeared in our décor.  One item was a bookshelf made of wood planks supported by cinderblocks, and the other was a plant; the larger the better to fill in the empty spaces.
Fast forward to your life now.  Your décor is probably a bit more sophisticated, but are there any plants in it?  I’m not referring to the pathetic philodendron plant you have stashed in the corner.  I’m thinking about something more dramatic; say, a palm tree or a banana plant about 6’-8’tall!  … (19 comments)

Never shake a hand..when a hug is offered. - 06/26/12 06:26 AM
My 19 year old son had a couple of buddies spend the night...as I left for work this morning Conor and I said our have a great day ritual goodbyes. We hug and say I love you with direct eye contact. One of his friends standing near by looked at me and said my family never does that (for which I'm sorry...I love my family and everyone else my life overlaps with).

Spectacular Sunsets in the White Mountains of New Hampshire - 06/25/12 04:03 PM
Many of my close friends and blog followers know I love to take photographs and enjoy sharing them with folks that appreciate the time and timing of getting just the right shot. Sunsets are certainly some of my favorite subjects. It often takes a bit of patience to get the light just right...a glass of wine help with the waiting.

I took this shot a couple of nights ago, it looks like something from out of Africa...would you believe New Hampshire.

Back in January the colors were incredible...winter is not usually this vivid - but this night was.

NH Lake house abutting Forest Service research land ecologist wanted. - 06/12/12 09:15 AM

Mirror lake Woodstock New Hampshire, a unique property for the right person. This is the Perfect home for an Ecologist wishing to own lakefront property that abuts - forest service research land. The lake doesn’t allow power boats and is monitored scientifically for a number of chemical substances entering the eco-system. There are very few homes on Mirror lake the vast majority of the waterfront is controlled by the U.S. forestry service and the science foundation that conducts a variety of experiments there. The property that is for sale once owned much of the protected land as the prior owner … (10 comments)

Lupine Festival - White Mountains New Hampshire. - 06/11/12 04:50 PM

Lupine – Festival – Franconia Notch State park.

The Beauty of Sugar Hill NH is something to see

The Annual June flower festival luckily landed on a spectacular weekend in the White Mountain….as the locals would say “above the notch”.  On any normal Sunday the views from Sugar Hill are amazing, but during the Lupine Festival the purple fields in the foreground enhances the distant gorgeous vista. Mount Lafayette road is where I took these photos – and it is the subject of the summit looming behind.

Loon Mountain New Hampshire Riverside - Home for sale- INCREDIBLE Spot - 06/10/12 05:21 AM
This is the last privately owned property - prior to the National Forest Boundary Line....and The Riverfront is absolutely beyond compare...there is simply nothing like it on the market in the White mountains of New Hampshire, it also happens to be less than a mile from the Main entrance to the best know ski area in the state.

With 150 feet of Pristine water frontage on the Pemigewasset River...and abutting National Forest land, you will never find a property of equal splendor that this. All the Major Living spaces share this same view on the water.

New Hampshire...diverse weather and all types of housing. - 06/04/12 10:15 AM

New Hampshire’s extreme weather diversity…it never gets boring when it comes to the changing seasons in the Granite State. In fact we can have multiple seasons on the same day – often just a few miles apart.

Today was one of those strange days…I have Iris blooming in my yard, and about 50 miles away at the top of Mount Washington (summit 6,300 feet) the weather observation towers had to be cleared of snow.

The kayaks were enjoying the swelling rivers, while golfers where dodging rain drops to get a round in. So while some in the lakes … (11 comments)
