I’ll call this latest adventure a busman’s holiday. What does a ski resort Realtor do on his day off…he checks out other resorts, designs and amenities – of course. I’m interested in what others have done successfully in developing their facilities and how they build their slope side homes, condos and other real estate.
One of the homes we designed and built at Loon Mt Lincoln NH
Here are some of the A-B- C’s of what a great mountain offers to it’s patrons. A High enough summit to be above tree line, snowboarding events to attract (6 comments)
steve loynd alpine lakes real estate: Adirondack design - Slope side at Loon Mt- Lincoln NH - 10/13/11 05:41 PM
After a hugely successful Builders Show case of homes over the Columbus Day weekend, I thought I would share some of the interior finish work we put in these homes. The traditional Adirondack home takes advantage of the materials found locally...that was when they built them in upstate New York at the turn of the century. Now we can get Granite - and exotic species of woods to the site easily...so we are not limited by transport or the lack there of.
The masonry Stone work here was the owners choice...but it is in keeping with the use (8 comments)
steve loynd alpine lakes real estate: Awesome Foliage shots - White Mountain federal Forest land NH - 10/11/11 12:40 PM
The views are incredible this time of year...I took these photos today, and even by my (see it all the time) standards these are magnificent views. First: Franconia Notch State Park - Surrounded by White mountain National Forest. The State park is where the "Old Man of the Mountain " once showed his stone face, it is also the site of the state owned Cannon Mountain Ski Area (Flume Gorge - Echo Lake & a number of trail heads to various hikes).
The far left of the photo -mid frame is the stone cliffs where the Old Man once stood...the (14 comments)

.................................................Sun going down - over the White Mountains.......................................
The last of the blue sky's fades to orange and the mountain shadows of the national forest...fades to black.
I hope you enjoy the trees in the foreground, that break up the sky line of the setting sun.
I seem quite appropriate that the sun set caps this Sunday night. The last Sunday in September and the first Sunday of the Autumn (7 comments)
steve loynd alpine lakes real estate: White Mountain Winter Seasonals are going fast at Loon Mountain 2011-12 - 09/06/11 10:48 AM
No matter what else is happening in the real estate market, people still want their recreational activities they have come to enjoy. Ski Season rentals have been brisk, while sales may be slow...skier will ski and many have turned towards a six month rental rather than buying this year. I have had a few that structured a deal that would allow them to purchase the property they are renting and apply some on the rent towards down-payment money.
Between Loon Mt & Waterville Valley Sits the Jack O’Lantern Resort and golf course.
Waterfront land –one of a kind location. Rural feel –yet with all the town services at the curb. The property sits back 400 feet from the state maintained Lost River Road also know as route 112 in Woodstock NH

He or she crept right up near the back door and kinda peered in.
This scruffy bunny didn't have any eggs that I could see...he or she might have been casing the joint for next Sundays hidden treasures. You know the little round pellets rabbits leave behind... White Mountain New Hampshire listings search by the MLS icon below.

Well I have a simple structure on a third of an acre, 50 feet from a babbling brook for short money. $29,900.00 She ain’t real pretty to look at, but there are no restrictions, or pesky covenants on this little beauty. I'll even throw in the Out-house (yup! it has an out-house).
There is power on the street and dozens of these family camps out in this old neighborhood. The sign says “Little Portsmouth” a group of friends all from the sea coast area of New Hampshire purchased this strip of (5 comments)
steve loynd alpine lakes real estate: A Ten Year Condo Report on the Loon Mountain NH area real estate market - 02/07/11 01:57 PM
I was recently ask by a client to give him some historic data to support the notion we were in a real estate recovery for my market area. With an idea where prices were headed in the up-coming months or years. I chose one segment of the market so as not to dilute the findings, with one sale or one bad year. I chose to look at condominium sales as reported to my MLS for the past ten years. This was for a wide spread price range from a low of $50,000 to a high of one million (this excludes deeded (10 comments)

Clients tell me all the time they found “my information” when applying some basic search terms to the geographic area I cover. That’s great, but if the post they landed on was a photo journey of a recent hike, or a new condominium I just listed…how much can these potential clients truly know about me? I’m more than a pretty face that knows which side of a camera takes the pictures. I’m here to connect with real (13 comments)
