- 09/05/11 06:20 AM
It's the little things that distinguish a good location from a really good location. The Village of Loon has many things a ski family desires. #1) Proximity to the slopes - Being across the street the from the lifts offers easy access. #2) views - of the slopes, allows you to see which trails are being groomed and where the snow guns are going at night. #3) Turning right - at the end of the day while every one else heads back towards the highway...you are going in the opposite direction and will be home in one minute. #4) Amenities -Swim

Blair Covered Bridge - Campton New Hampshire...1829 - 2011...Will be repaired. Historical Remarks: The first bridge at this location was built in 1829 at a cost of $1,000.The construction of the current bridge was brought about when a doctor trying to ford the river on horseback found the current too strong. The horse drowned, but the doctor was saved. The town voted to build a bridge immediately. A sign was posted on the bridge indicating there was a fine of five dollars for riding or driving on the bridge faster than five miles per hour.

steve loynd grafton county realtor: What are the numbers telling me about where my buyers will come from in NH
- 01/18/11 12:38 AM
I have always thought you could massage the numbers to make them support your position. Looking for comps to get your home appraised is a real art. Most appraisers will not accept your “leg work” for determining values. I was recently trying to find where I should target my marketing budget for second home sales in the North-East. Basically where will my buyers come from given a 2+ hour drive and the areas that support the income to buy from with-in that distance (New England states being the target market). The Raw income numbers New England Vs. the rest of

steve loynd grafton county realtor: Rattle Snake - Squam Lake - breath taking views NH photos
- 10/13/10 08:28 AM
There is an extremely easy hike over looking Squam Lake...many would say it's a walk that is slightly up hill. That being the case it's well worth the trip for anyone of any age...and the view is spectacular at the top of Rattle Snake "mountain". Note: the out cropping of granite ledge that allows the view is a sheer drop on the lake side so if you do bring little ones keep a sharp eye on them...and establish some ground rules before you arrive at the summit. Take Route 113 in Holderness , you go by some magnificent horse farms and
