slow market: More bad news for Chicago Metro real estate - 02/25/08 09:40 PM
According to the Illinois Association of REALTORS, Chicago-Metro area home sales took their worst one-month plunge since at least 1998. The trade group said on Monday that January sales of both single-family homes and condos were off 34 percent, compared to the same month in 2007.

Buyer has the inspection done and it reveals that the side windows in the living room are both rotted and the seals are gone. It will cost approximately $1000 to replace.
Seller says NO!

slow market: "2007 is going to suck" - 03/12/07 12:37 PM
That was Donal Tomnitz, the CEO of homebuilder DR Horton said on a conference call last week, "I don't want to be too sophisticated, but 2007 is going to suck."
DR Horton is a nationwide builder with residential developments across the country. So, I'd think that I'd pay attention to his comments.

According to our Illinois Association of REALTORS stats homes prices remained stable...BUT, homes sales were down 19% for the month of December, 2006 as compared with December, 2005.
