When you're selling your home, you want potential buyers to picture your house as their home, not as your house that they would be occupying. To do this, getting rid of personal items is a good start. Take down Grandma and Grandpa's 50th anniversary picture and stash away cousin Ethel's salt and pepper shaker collection.
