Another late start with some of my online stuff today because I was running around getting the 9,476,532nd addendum signed for a foreclosure that a client is buying. As my client put it, why do they make it so hard to buy a foreclosure?
But in a world full of people looking for any excuse to sue, the banks have to be sure they are using plenty of CYA.

Well the coastal areas of South Carolina are preparing for Irene but here in Upstate South Carolina I am not too sure we can expect much. They are predicting pretty much sunny weather and temps in the 90's over the weekend. We could use some rain but that would just mean I would have to find some time to cut my yard.
But finding the time to cut my yard is a pretty small problem compared to the problems those facing Irene are dealing with right now.....

Another wonderful morning in Upstate South Carolina! Today is going to be another busy day with a luncheon at the WUAR office about RPAC fund raising for next year. RPAC is the REALTOR's Political Action Committee and we work to raise awareness about issues that hurt consumers when it comes to buying, selling, owning or even renting real estate. Hump Day has arrived and I hope you were able to survive the hysteria about yesterday's earthquake on the East Coast. I have not heard about any deaths or injuries. I really hope everyone was OK. Maybe with all the different stories in the news you were not aware that the latest greatest idea from Washington to help the struggling housing market is to start renting foreclosed homes. Which might sound reasonable at first but to me there is a problem with this proposal.
I guess if you completely trust big corporations and the government to take good care of you, this isn't a problem. But if you do not completely put your trust in the government and big corporations you may want to read

I would say good Monday morning but I am couple hours late since I have been running the roads getting some addendums and changes to a contract signed and delivered to the listing agent. Great deal on a foreclosed home that one of my clients is picking up for a song. Dang shame that more people are NOT taking advantage of the low interest rates and great deals available today.
Maybe they are happy with the rate of return they are getting from their Wall Street investments. After all, the DOW has only dropped about 350 points since it opened today......

I woke up this morning all stressed out because an offer I had submitted the day before for a client had been met with not just a counter offer but the dreaded Highest & Best situation since there were multiple offers.
So despite the humidity I decided to go for a bike ride to try to clear my mind so I could concentrate on the many other tasks I have to accomplish today. When was the last time you just took a leisurely bike ride?
