I Don't Want My Credit Pulled Because It Will Lower My Credit Scores! - 05/29/12 03:46 PM
This is a very good post to get out to ALL your buyers who are in the process of purchasing a home.  It's good that their are professional people out there willing to step to the forefront and give the straight scoop on this nagging issue.

I hear "I Don't Want My Credit Pulled Because It Will Lower My Credit Scores!" on a fairly regular bases, when I tell a Borrower who is looking to be Pre-Approved for a mortgage that I need to run their credit in order to Pre-Approve them.  … (1 comments)

Memorial Day 2012 - 05/28/12 08:04 AM

Memorial Day 2012
This post will be short and sweet and to the point. To ALL our servicemen and servicewomen I want to personally thank you for your service to this great nation of ours. It’s people like you who have sacrificed for people like myself and others to be here in this country and to be free. Freedom is NOT free. Someone has to pay and these people have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
My father and brother (Edward Brown and James Brown) and several nephews have been in and still a part of our Armed Services. So … (4 comments)

Pleeeease Can My Buyer Move in Before Closing; Somethings Never Change - 05/20/12 03:44 PM
Never a smart thing to do. Way too much liability if you let this happen. If they need a place to stay that's why they have hotels. Time to make 1 smooth move versus 1 large headache.

With all the talk about hot technology gadgets, social media, mobile devices somethings in real estate never change.  Knucklehead agents is one.

The scenario is always the same: The listing is vacant; the buyer's lender (now called "incompetent") needs more time to approve the loan and the buyer needs to move out of … (0 comments)

Homebuyers Caught Off Guard by Bidding War - 05/01/12 04:07 PM
99% of us already know this is going on. If you don't you need to read this. Tell your clients. Buyers need to be educated about the market. They need to know if they "snooze" they will undoubtedly lose through no fault of ours.

Homebuyers Caught Off Guard by Bidding War
That's the title of an article that I read yesterday on Realtor Magazine online:  Homebuyers Caught Off Guard by Bidding War.  Immediately I thought "Really?  Really?" The fact is that it should be no … (4 comments)

Why Do Realtors Make Such High Commission? - 05/01/12 03:47 PM
A little humor mixed in with some hard truth. We(realtors) work hard for what we do and sometimes not appreciated for all our efforts. People think, at times we're overpaid but yet they wouldn't walk a day in our shoes and take the crap we take at times. This post made my afternoon.

I was interviewed yesterday for a unique investor project by Mr. Builder. We talked about the viewpoint each of us have toward the other in terms of typical Realtor or Builder behavior. It was fun … (3 comments)

Knock, Knock. Who’s There? Sellers Beware! - 05/01/12 09:15 AM
Just an FYI. A little common sense goes a LONG way here in realtor/seller safety. A short but very informative post to remind your sellers about the pitfalls of letting folks in your house unattended(AKA without a realtor of THEIR choice). Pass the word around. A very good reminder.

I received a call this evening from one of my sellers. A potential buyer had showed up at her home, rang the doorbell, and asked to see the home. While this raised red flags for … (3 comments)
