homes: Southwest Riverside County Market Update: May 2012 - 06/27/12 02:38 AM
SOUTHWEST RIVERSIDE COUNTY MARKET UPDATE:  MAY 2012 The Temecula real estate market has been a topic of heated conversation over the last 5 years as we have seen prices plummet to it cyclical low point in February 2009. As we continue to watch it climb – now reaching 27.3% above that low point, across California.
Today, Leslie Appleton Young and the California Association of Realtors (CAR) released a video market report that I found interesting enough to share the details with my readers while I try and compare some of the statewide data with my own local research of the Murrieta – … (0 comments)

homes: Market Conditions - What do the Numbers Really Mean? - 10/25/11 03:52 AM
I learned a long time ago the Figures Never Lie, but Liars Always Figure.  So when I read reports that rely heavy on figures I always wnt to get to the bottom line and 'figure' out what is really going on - especially when it has to do with real estate.
Recently, 'they' (in this case the California Building Industry Association) announced that start-up housing was up 10% - whooo hooo, now that is a reason to celebrate if you can accept it at face value.  But lets take a closer look at what 'they' may be trying to sweep under the … (1 comments)

Conventional loans typically require the borrower to have a larger down payment that government type of loans, such as FHA or VA.  Conventional loan down payments in San Jacinto CA from the period of June 21st, 2009 through July 20th, 2009 accounted for  22.7%, or 25 residential homes for sale, closed escrow.Aside from the amount of down payment a borrower must put down on a Conventional Loan, there is not a requirement for the borrower to live in the home.  Therefore a conventional loan is a common way for an investor to finance their real estate investment property in San Jacinto, … (0 comments)

homes: What is the Future of Real Estate... Or, What Have We Learned Since 9/11? - 08/02/08 05:21 PM
There is no debate that the Real Estate market took off after 9/11.  We were at a very rough cross roads in our history and I guess anything could have happened.  One way or the other we, as a country got motivated and there are too many factors to get into here as to everything that contributed to our financial rise and fall of the last 6 years.
This is not about blame.  Yes there were crooks on wall street just as there were crooked lenders and crooked real estate agents and crooked politicians and crooked everything else.  We sensationalize them … (4 comments)

Just How does the Fed Feel?by John Occhi, Hemet REALTORHemet, CA Real Estate
Last week the FED (Federal Reserve Board) released its minutes of its December 12th meeting where they decided not to raise or lower the interest rate.  Apparently, they are concerned with the national housing slump and the role it is having on the economy.
A potential rate cut for the next time they meet at the end of January was talked about, but the conversation was not included in the minutes, according to an unidentified FED member, the Washington Post reported.
The Hemet CA Real Estate market should respond well to … (0 comments)
