Labor Day Weekend has been Cancelled - 08/28/11 09:48 AM
A couple days ago I was in Costco and saw a few Christmas lights and decorations out. Last year I think I blogged about how they were out before Halloween. Now to think they are out before school even starts is pretty pathetic. I'm guessing next year they should have them out by Memorial day for the early shoppers. Can you believe this?

Empty Nester too soon - 08/25/11 09:43 PM
I will be a empty Nester this time next year. The last of three will be off to college. None of them want to be Realtors. I heard the saying for years " enjoy them, they grow up too fast". Hard to imagine as they are screaming, fighting and throwing temper tantrums. Later they are whining about needing Ipods, cell phones and a car.
Now I am worried about a quiet house and being lost. I am asking what to expect and what to do? Your thoughts if you are there?

Email vs. Snail mail - 08/22/11 09:35 AM
I wanted to continue the debate that has been in several other blogs. I want to start be stating my opinion as a customer of other services.
When I receive an email that misses the spam filter that is not from someone I delete without opening. When I receive Snail mail with "bulk" postage and a label for address, it usually hits the post office recycle bucket, un opened. If it has full postage and a handwritten address, I will talk the time to open it. They did take the time to hand write the address.
This is my personal view … (6 comments)

Have you ever lost a great idea? - 08/19/11 08:02 PM
Have you ever lost a GREAT blogging idea? I have. A couple days ago I was sitting at lunch with a group. A great idea popped into my head and a real rare thing happened, NO ink pen to jot it down. Usually my ideas come when at the gym on the treadmill. You guessed it, No ink pen. I always think I will remember it.
About that idea while at lunch the other day, No idea, I forgot it. Has this happened to you?

The Adrenalin Rush of a quick close. - 08/17/11 10:25 PM
The adrenalin rush of a quick close is what I am experiencing now. I have a listing that i am the "third" Realtor to have it. After many months and quite a span of no showings. I get a Cash, quick close. We have inspections to satisfy, CCR's and Prelims all in less than two weeks. As in all deals, It will close or it won't. What a rush!

We Just Want to Look HUH?? - 08/07/11 08:06 PM
We just want to look was a comment I got from some walkins a few weeks back. They had in their hands a couple flyers from a couple different repo's that we had listed. I asked about their finances, Cash or Loan and proof of funds letter. They didn't have one. "We just want to look" Why?
In Oregon the first page of the sales contract ask wheres the money? They wanted to know why the bank with repos would want to know? Simple they have alreadt been burned by someone that couldn't pay. When you get your letter, get back … (2 comments)

Patience and Credit Do you have enough? - 08/03/11 10:45 PM
We all have heard you need a better than good credit score for a loan now days. No one seems to be letting borrowers know upfront that they need lots of patience too. It will be tried many times during the transaction. It seems lenders look for any excuse to hold up the loan. Don't get me started here, its another blog in its self.
One more thing you to death is another reason to need lots of patience. So if you have a GREAT credit score and a GREAT amount of patience, you will most likely get the loan!
