Could I have or should I have? - 08/30/12 06:13 AM
A couple weeks ago I was driving by my deceased Mothers home that I grew up in and noticed it was forn sale. It turned out to be up for about half what I sold it for in 1998. Should I have bought it for a rental or would it just be too weird? As it turned out it was already "pending" on the MLS just not on the sign. It was the home I grew up in.
When my Grandfather died I was offered a retired 135 acre farm for 80k and a few years later when Grandma had to foreclose … (7 comments)

Is this No call back Monday? - 08/27/12 04:29 PM
Is this NO call back Monday? If it is I didn't get the memo. I called my doctor this morning with a couple questions No call back.  I called the State Lands division and left a message, No call back. I called the Title company and left a message, No call back. Is there a memo I missed?

What am I in for now?--- Empty nest in a couple weeks - 08/26/12 01:08 PM
I have been doing a lot of thinking and questioning as my last kid is off to college in a couple weeks. I have not been an empty nester home for 26 years. The real shocker will be adjusting food as my kids always have extras here at meal time if they are here. Will I need a Costco card any more?

My son needed a new cell phone immediately and had an upgrade coming. i found something suitable that he like for what I though was $79 with a mail in rebate for $50. You can imagine my feelings then I drove an hour and a half, waited in line for most of an hour to be told write the check for $180. They started a new  surcharge that I wasn't informed of earlier.
Now I decide to stop and buy dinner. … (10 comments)

How many times have you answered "fine"-- when it wasn't? - 08/19/12 07:34 AM
How many times have you answered "fine" when it really wasn't. I try not too. I have been to restaurants when the food or service was bad. The cashier ask how was it? Fine. Then they wonder 6 months later why they have no business. How would it have been if everyone asked, was honest. Maybe they would still be in business and less people would be unemployed.
I have to admit there are times the situation was so hopeless it wasn't worth mentioning. The next time you are asked, be honest, it might save a businesses, some jobs and help … (11 comments)
