Reach Mississippi a selling opportunity that you can not miss.

If you are on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and have not heard about the New program to rebuild the Gulf Coast . You can not miss out on this.

It is called Reach Mississippi.

What it does is allows employers to assist there employees with a employer contribution towards buying a home. for example the employer contributes 5000.00 Reach will match 15,000.00 for a total of 20,000 for down payment assistance. It can go up to 40,000 total assistance. There is more to qualifying , such as you must be buying your first home, or if you were displaced by Katrina you can qualify. If you have lived in an apartment for 2 to 3 years and not had a mortgage you can qualify also. You must purchase an existing home. Not a home under construction. I am new to Active Rain and am trying to get a handle on how this will help me grow into a better agent and to grow my business. When I saw this posting of selling soulfully I was suprised. It seems in todays market that it becomes a Dog eat Dog contest. Expecially here in the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Where we are still recovering from Hurricanne Katrina. The insurance rates are prohibiting us from having the growth that we could have. We have so many empyt lots and homes that people can not afford just because the insurance is 3 times more that prior to the hurricane.

Just last week i recieved a call from the President of the Mississippi Board of realtors, because a realtor wrote a complaint about an ad that my broker wrtoe for me in the local real estate guide. He stated that he is ealing with more and more complaints abotu realtor to realtor than clients to realtors. This does not speak well for our profession.

So I am excited to learn from each of you if you have positive advise or comments that we can share together.
