I grew up in the country and found this to be so true and thought that I would share this with all of you. 
Your fences need to be horse-high, pig tight and bull strong.
Keep skunks, shifty eyes, and Politian's at distance.
Life is simpler when you plow around the stumps.
A bee is considerable faster than a tractor.
Words that soak into your ears are whispers... not yelled.
Meanness doesn't happen overnight.
Forgive your enemies.  It messes with your head.
Don't corner something that you know is meaner than you.
It doesn't take a very big person to carry a grudge.
