I admit that my family has been living in the Dark Ages when it comes to entertainment.  We live in a rural area of Northwest Mississippi that is not serviced by cable.  The only option for cable-like TV is through a satellite dish and we just never got around to getting that service until recently.  So, I've pretty much missed out on all the Real Estate "Reality" shows on cable.

You're so excited to get a GREAT deal in a GREAT neighborhood but there's a catch.  It's a "handyman special"...a "fixer-upper"...it needs "TLC".  And everyone is telling you there is no way you will be able to get a loan on it.
Well, hold on there.  There is a loan made specifically for this situation - the FHA streamline 203(k).  The Streamline 203(k) permits the buyer/borrower to finance up to an additional $35,000 into the mortgage loan to improve or upgrade the home.

                                                                                         The Tate County MS Courthouse is located at 201 Ward St. in Senatobia, MS.  It is home to the offices of the Chancery Clerk, Circuit Clerk, Tax Collector and Tax Assessor.
This beautiful Victorian-style courthouse was build in 1875.  The cornerstone of the Tate County Courthouse was laid on June 24, 1875.  The original architect was James Bartholomew Cook from England.  Additions were made to the courthouse in 1904 and 1975.  The latest additions and restoration were finished in 2000.

I've noticed over the last couple of months a significant number of bank foreclosure listings in my area being placed on Realty Bid.  Realty Bid is an on-line auction service.  Their banner says "Benefiting Buyers, Agents & Sellers Alike".  
Since I have represented a number of REO buyers, I decided to poke around a little on the site.  I saw that a few of the properties up for auction in my area had bids, but apparently there are 'reserve' prices which had not been met.  I also noticed items labeled 'Fees' … (5 comments)

20 residential properties sold in Hernando MS in September.  The average sales price was $200,663.  The average days on the market (DOM) for these sold properties was 134 days.
Comparisons for last month / last year:

Northwood Hills saw the most sales activity this month, with the remaining sales spread fairly evenly around Hernando.

I miss her like it were yesterday.  I miss her humor, her friendship, her sense of adventure.  I miss my mom.
My mom was only 57 when she died.  That was 7 years ago.  She died of breast cancer.
Before she was 50, she felt a lump and had gone to her doctor.  Her trusted doctor - who had delivered her children and had been her doctor for years.  The doctor told her not to worry about it.  After all, she was too young and the lump did not fit the textbook example of breast cancer that was taught when he … (7 comments)
