Even during the winter, many people look for fun outdoor places to visit. Therefore, Jackson, Mississippi has continued to add several outdoor locations for its residents and visitors to have fun. The city offers 54 wonderful parks and facilities. That adds up to around 2,300 acres of outdoor fun. These parks include playgrounds, ball fields, tennis courts, golf courses, picnic areas and walking and jogging paths. The city also offers special facilities which include community centers, Mynelle Gardens, Smith Wills Stadium, the Jackson Zoo and the city's botanical gardens. This October, Jackson, Mississippi residents can expect to see lower power bills. Thanks to a recent fuel-price adjustment that was filed Friday, August 15th by Entergy Mississippi. The filing will cover October through December energy bills and is expected to drop prices by nine percent. The adjustment will still need to be approved by the Mississippi Public Service Commission, which is expected to happen as early as next week. Studies show that the average energy bill in July is around $132, while September bills are around $120, and October bills are around $108. So, a nine percent drop on your energy (0 comments)

The real estate market here in Jackson and surrounding communities is like Mississippi Living, the price is easy and the pace is slow. It is a great time for home buyers to invest in their future. Like most of the nation, Central Mississippi is currently in what is referred to as a Buyer's Market. One major difference in the Jackson area is that the prices of homes is staying steady rather than declining. If prices are not declining then why is it considered a Buyer's Market?
