I think a lot of people on the East Coast are still skid-dish from the Earthquake on Tuesday.  After my post about my earthquake experience, I felt a little foolish since folks on the West Coast are pros.  So I am sure I will get some flack from my friends in Florida and in the South about my hurricane post! It's all good!
My fellow East Coasters are preparing for Hurricane Irene, my friends and family are on overdrive still from Tuesday's earthquake excitement and now we have a major hurricane to deal with too.  The news has 24 hour back … (3 comments)

I Survived the 2011 DC Earthquake! - 08/24/11 12:05 AM
This post is just for fun! I know it is not a big deal for my California friends but on the East Coast we are totally clueless on the whole earthquake thing.  When the quake hit, I was in a class looking at a Powerpoint presentation on a screen and all of sudden the projector and screen started to shake.  At first I thought a big truck or train was speeding by and causing the room to shake.  I knew that was crazy because our office is not near a train track or a highway so after a couple of seconds … (3 comments)
