Helping balance the market was a much-needed 2.7-percent decrease in the total number of Warren Township homes for sale. Not only this, but the most recent total represents a far more significant 14.4-percent decrease versus June of 2010’s total of 118 listings. One stat that was on the rise, much to the chagrin of home sellers was total listings. In June, 2011 there were 696 Noblesville homes for sale compared to the previous month’s total of 680, making it an 2.4-percent increase. Compared to last June’s total of 789 homes for sale, however, it is a 11.8-percent decrease in total listings. And, the Noblesville real estate market saw a 7.9-percent decrease in the average number of homes listed for sale per month from April through June fo 2011 compared to this same period last year, or 680 versus 738 respectively.

If you were a buyer then you had more to choose from—2.3 perecnt more to be exact—as there were 7,256 Indianapolis homes for sale in June compared to 7,094 in May. The good thing about this is that is represents a 9.4-percent decrease versus this same month 1 year ago, when there were 8,012 homes on the Indianapolis real estate market. Even when viewed in 3-month increments, the average number of homes on the market per month fell 9.2 percent from April through June of 2011 compared to this same quarter last year, or 7,214 versus 7,848 respectively.

The Greenfield real estate market showed improvement with respect to the total number of homes listed for sale, as June’s total was 0.8 percent below that of the previous month.  June’s total of 730 listings was, however, 0.6 percent above last June’s total of 726 Greenwood homes for sale. As if sellers needed more competition, the total number of Carmel homes for sale rose 2.2 percent, from 889 in May to 909 in June, 2011. If there was a silver lining to the 256 homes listed for sale on the Westfield real estate market in May then surely it had to do with the fact that, compared to last May’s total of 314, this represents aqn 18.5-percent decrease in total listings. While there were 1.3 percent more Greenfield homes for sale in May compared to the previous month’s total of 308, May’s figure represents a 6.6 decrease versus last year’s total of 334 during this same month. Even when viewed in 3-month increments, the average number of homes listed on the Greenfield real estate market per month fell 7.8 percent compared to this same quarter last year.

Fishers Homes Sales Rise 35.3 Percent in May, 2011 - 07/12/11 05:18 PM
Not helping the cause, at least from a seller’s perspective, were the latest figures for total listings. The total number of Fishers homes for sale rose 10.2 percent, from 605 in April to 667 in May. At least when compared to last May’s total of 665 listings this represents an increase of just 0.3 percent. A positive spin on this data can be seen in the fact that from March through May of 2011 the average number of homes listed on the Fishers real estate market per month was down 5.4 percent compared this same period last year.

Danville Home Sales Rise an Incredible 150 Percent in May, 2011 - 07/12/11 05:16 PM
As if buyers needed even MORE choices, there was a 12.9-percent rise in the total number of Danville homes for sale compared to the previous month. Also, May’s total of 158 listings represents a 30.6-percent increase in the number of homes listed for sale on the Danville real estate market compared to the previous month’s total of just 121. Viewed in 3-month intervals, there were, on average, a total of 139 listings per month from March through May of 2011, or 14.9-percent more, compared to this same period last year, when the monthly average was 121.

Carmel Real Estate Market Up and Down in May, 2011 - 07/12/11 05:12 PM
With regard to total listings, there was a 0.1-percent decrease in the total number of Carmel homes for sale, as there were 889 in May compared to 890 the previous month. Versus May of 2010, this represents an 8.5-percent increase, however. And from March through May of this year there were, on average, a total of 869 homes listed for sale on the Carmel real estate market, or 5.3 percent more, compared to this same quarter last year, when the average was closer to 825 listings per month.

Brownsburg Real Estate Market Not Impressive in May, 2011 - 07/12/11 05:09 PM
Looking at total listings, there were just 0.6 percent more Brownsburg homes for sale in May compared to the previous month’s total of 309. Compared to last year this same time this, however, this represents an 8-percent increase in the number of homes listed on the Brownsburg real estate market, or 311 versus 288 respectively. Also, from March through May of 2011 there were, on average, a total of 304 homes for sale per month compared to 288 per month last year during this same 3-month period.
