    <title>How much does a sex offender in your subdivision affect your sale price?</title>

&lt;p&gt;Ever wonder what a sex offender in a neighborhood does to the pricing of a home? A neighbor of mine asked me that question the other day when he found out a sex offender just moved into our subdivision. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I thought about it for a few minutes because I have never been put in that situation before. My answer to him was that it shouldn&amp;#39;t affect the price of the home. It would just possibly slow down the selling process. If you have kids, like I do, you wouldn&amp;#39;t want to be living next to one. I guess it all depends on the conviction and how long it has been, etc. These, days, buyers tend not to check the sex offender registry.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;One thing to ALWAYS keep in mind. Whenever a buyer asks &amp;quot;how is the neighborhood&amp;quot;? You should NOT give your opinion. If you suggest it is a good one and it turned out that they moved in and something happened to their child, YOU will be the one they could come after and win! So be safe and have them do their homework.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;I am curious as to what you guys have to say.&lt;/p&gt;    </content>
