Traveling to Boston, Traveling from Boston Massachusetts, not tonight - you are not traveling here tonight! Logan Airport in East Boston Massachusetts is closed to incoming and outgoing traffic till 7pm on Saturday night! The airport is closed and the Governor of Massachusetts closed highways to anyone but essential personnel since 4pm this afternoon. The T had their last bus and trains today scheduled for 3pm this afternoon....so boats and trains, planes and buses are not moving through the Massachusetts Blizzard of 2013! Wind gusts will continue to pick up during the evening hours. There is a coastal front which is making the snow very wet. Gusts will continue all night long and into tomorrow. Brockton Massachusetts has 33 degree weather where Worcester, Massachusetts is already down to 20 degrees, that is a big difference! 7pm to 1am tonight we are expecting a minimum of two inches of snow an hour, we are preparing for a heavy snow here, shovels are ready, roads are being cleared of any unneccessary vehicles, the last planes of the day left Logan Airport in East Boston, Massachusetts about (2 comments)
The intesity is changing too, more snow is coming down! Batten down your hatches! Water is expected to come over the seawall on Revere Beach in about three hours, waves are small and large, people please do not go near the seawalls, no matter how interesting and exciting it may appear. Wave heights in Brant Rock in Marshfield Massachusetts are expected to be extremely high. Seawalls are not in good shape here. Wave heights are 11 feet high! Marshfield is a coastal town and the residents have now been asked to voluntarily evacuate if they live within a half mile of the coast. Marshfield is a beautiful community with many mixed types of homes along the seaside, from summer seasonal cottages to multi million dollar mansions. Although this is not mandatory, it is a prediction of how serious all of us on the southshore of Massachusetts are taking this Massachusetts Blizzard of 2013!.
