Home prices to increase say real state professionals
Some 77 percent of U.S. real estate professionals surveyed think home prices will either stay the same (48 percent) or decrease (29 percent) in the next six months, according to HomeGain's First Quarter Home Prices Survey. In comparison, the first quarter 2009 survey results indicated that 89 percent of agents and brokers thought home prices would decrease (53 percent) or stay the same (36 percent).
The top 10 states where real estate professionals think home prices will go down in the next six months:

WHO can afford a home? Even in Augusta Martinez Grovetown Ga where the initial cost of a home is quite reasonable in comparison with the rest of the country~!
As a GENERAL rule, if someone can afford a home, they should probably buy one rather than rent.
Now... WHAT does Afford a home mean? It means more than just saving the 3-5% down payment. One must also consider the inherent costs of home ownership. There are yearly Taxes, Insurance, Furnace and HVAC repairs, Water heaters that burn out, Pipes that burst, Roofs that must be replaced... the list can go on and … (4 comments)

The winter wind found its way to Augusta Martinez Evans Grovetown GA. It appears, though, that the tropical breezes have pushed old man winter right back to his place up north!
Georgians just are not prepared for this kind of cold. When exterior pipes are subjected to temperatures well below 20f we can expect to see damage like this.
The little split in this piping looks benign enough but it sprayed thousands of gallons of water onto the studs, insulation and electrical components of this exterior wall causing a thousand dollars worth of damage!

Hello everyone! I have been offline for a couple of weeks handling the details of a BIG move!
I have left Century 21, Larry Miller Realty and joined forces with RE/MAX Augusta!!
Although, the Century 21 office I was with was and still is a great company, I feel that my business is headed in a different direction than that of the Brokers. At RE/MAX, I can be a lot more independant and grow my business to the new heights that I drive myself to attain!!
So, it is official.

As all the children head back to school, the days get shorter and leaves start to fall,
we all start to reflect on the year so far and look ahead to the holidays that will mark the beginning of a new year!
This time of year brings back memories of my dear grandmother. She has been gone now for 10 years but not a day goes by that I dont think of her.

An awful lot is happening around here, but I will start in the beginning.
The Augusta GA area is often referred to as the "CSRA". Now, non-locals react to that with "What the heck IS "the CSRA". Understandably, this acronym seems to have nothing to do with Augusta GA.
But it really describes the area quite well.
Central Savannah River Area = C S R A
