pricing: Rational or Not...Price is Fueling Buyer's Motivation - 10/17/08 10:47 AM
High Noon....Covington, WA (ok, it was about 11:50 am, but high noon sounds better) and my gas tank was nearly empty. I had two choices ahead of me, the first station(and the one easier for me to pull into) was all but empty, only one car fueling up. But a quick glance at the price board convinced me to not only sit through the red light to get to the station on the other side of the intersection....but then to wait in a line, 2-3 cars deep.




The price of my wait?  A savings of eight cents per gallon.

There are various reasons why one home may sell over another, including but not limited to: price, condition, timing (a buyer was just waiting for that particular type property to come along). But occassionally a new listing will come on the market that's just absolutely primed and ready to sell fast.

Imagine you're a Buyer relocating to a small market area. You've located a few homes you like and finally narrow down the selection to a few in one neighborhood where there are several properties on the market.
Two of them in fact are nearly identical; Same floorplan, Same Builder, Same Neighborhood.
The only differences are; Property A is approximately 6 months older than property B, has a few more upgrades and a yard which is more level and fenced-side by side, Property A is more desirable and probably worth a little more than Property B due to the yard and upgrades … (22 comments)
