Looking for a little Elbow room between you and the neighbors? If so, you're not alone.
In 2011, there were 342 Single family homes sold on one or more acre in South King County. The lowest priced home sold was $69,900 and the highest was $1,650,000.
The median price (half sold below, half sold above) was $325,000.
The average market time was 84 days
For larger parcels:
84 Single family properties on 5+ acres sold for an average price of $419,370. The time on market for those listings averaged 100 days.

seattle real estate: Sun ~Summer~& Suntrust Short Sales - 08/15/11 08:54 PM
While the rest of the country bakes in three digit temperatures, we here in the greater Seattle area are still waiting for our Summer to begin. There have been a few false starts but Mother Nature is being stingy with sustained sunshine and temps above 80 have been elusive.  
Today however, was a beautiful day!
Mid seventies, slight breeze and mostly clear sky…..not to mention the fact I’m making good progress on a Suntrust Short Sale. I’ve worked with Suntrust Mortgage before on short sales and the experiences were fairly frustrating and painstakingly lengthy.

It seems to be a rarity these days to find a home for sale that is neither a short sale listing nor a Bank owned property (both of which require a few extra hoop jumping on the part of all involved), but this 4 bedroom beauty is a rare "Regular Sale". To top that, it's a regular sale on a cul-de-sac, and backs to a protected Native Growth Easement area....meaning no development behind you!

seattle real estate: You're Never too Old to Learn~Especially with Short Sales - 01/02/11 04:52 PM
Helping Seattle home owners with their short sales in 2010 was truly the highlight of my year. That might sound strange, finding satisfaction in a tough, unfortunate situation, but right now, helping an owner complete a short sale is the best feeling in real estate When a short sale finally reaches closing day, the sellers are relieved, appreciative and full of thanks. It's always a great day!
I'm proud of the success my team and I have had negotiating and closing short sales throughout the greater Seattle area. Our success rate is high but not perfect.
