PCS Orders to the U.S. Naval Academy? - 03/29/11 11:59 AM
If you're headed to the U.S. Naval Academy in the coming weeks for duty, you'll want to check out this beautiful townhome that just went on the market.  It's located off Forest Drive, only a few minutes from The Yard.  Best of all, it's so affordable at $234,900 AND you may be eligible for the $8,000 tax credit extension available to military personnel who purchase by April 30 and close by June 30.

This home would be a great choice, whether you're military or not... whether you work at the U.S. Naval Academy or anywhere else in the region.  … (6 comments)

The procrastinating fish isn't really going to enjoy any benefit by (1) waiting for a bigger worm or (2) taking the bait now.  He's going to end up on someone's dinner plate, whichever choice he makes.
On the other hand, a procrastinating home buyer will benefit from taking advantage of today's buyer's market:  … (17 comments)

Thomas the Tank Engine is Coming to Maryland! - 03/13/11 06:58 PM
All Aboard!  Thomas the Tank Engine is coming to Maryland!
Seriously, no joke, he's coming to the Baltimore Railroad Museum April 29-May 1 and again May 6-8.  Tickets are available now for a 25-minute train ride on a full size Thomas the Tank Engine and a chance to meet Sir Topham Hatt, followed by storytelling, live music, and megablocks.
When I told my son and daughter-in-law about this visit, they went online right away for tickets and found some times already sold out.  But they were able to get tickets for early on that first weekend, and they invited Grandma … (20 comments)

Reminder Regarding the New Questions & Answers Group - 03/04/11 09:43 AM

Bob Stewart challenged Activerain members to Never Answer the Same Question Twice, and the response was huge.  A few weeks into it, I started a new group where we could continue to post our Q&A posts after the challenge was behind us, and I called it the

We could actually take Bob's challenge a little farther and not only "never answer the same question twice" - we could link to the answer provided in … (18 comments)
