listing photos: Before and After Photos for My Staged New Listing - 06/28/11 11:21 PM
A combination of staging and professional photos combined to make my new listing look its best for the brochure photos. 
On the left, "before"... on the right, "after"...  While the "before" photos were before staging, it was after the seller did some initial de-cluttering.  These sellers were awesome, doing everything asked of them from the day of my first appointment with them, and for two weeks of hard-core home sale preparations between then and staging.

listing photos: The Reality of Selling Ugly Homes - 07/08/09 07:41 AM
Even listings with ugly photos DO sell.  Many of my colleagues apparently disagree. "No photos" seems to be the option chosen by many agents, rather than posting realistic photos of their listings. 
 
To quote one commenter on my post last week (Ugly Photos are Better Than No Photos):
I am really shocked at some of the lack of preparation ya'll are accepting as a-ok for your clients.  You are relegating these homes and these sales to second-class listings...

You can count on me to play "Devil's Advocate" whenever someone posts on Activerain about how irresponsible it is to provide only one photo with a listing.  I'm always quick to comment that sometimes no photos could be the right choice if the listed home shows poorly.  But...

No, make that "BUT..."
