What is Appraised Value? 
  
•·          Appraisals provide an objective opinion of value, but it's not an exact science so appraisals may differ.
•·          For buying and selling purposes, appraisals are usually based on market value - what the property could probably be sold for. Other types of value include insurance value, replacement value, and assessed value for property tax purposes.
•·          Appraised value is not a constant number. Changes in market conditions can dramatically alter appraised value.
•·          Appraised value doesn't take into account special considerations, like the need to sell rapidly.

US Home Prices Continue To Rebound U.S. home prices rose in July from a month earlier, according to the S&P Case-Shiller home-price indexes, with just two of 20 metropolitan areas showing declines.They were Las Vegas, one of the nation's most-battered markets, and Seattle. By contrast, 13 of the top 20 markets measured have had price gains for at least three straight months.David M. What a great time we had today at the Steelwood Open House.  Over 50 cars came through the gate at Steelwood Country Club to view a wide variety of property.  We have several listing inside the gated community and it was really fun meeting everyone and talking about the many amenities offered at Steelwood.

Steelwood Country Club offers many reasons for my decision to move here.  As a native of Mobile, Al. and playing golf at the Mobile Country Club I had heard of Steelwood Country Club and of the great golf it offered.  I did not know much else.  When my wife Michelle and I decided to move to the Eastern Shore we became frustrated finding the right property the right location and the right price.  Finally, a friend said, "why don't you go checkout Steelwood Country Club?' My hats off to Noelle for doing such a wonderful job with the new steelwood events newsletter.  Great to know that the bar area in the Clubhouse stays open for SEC football games on Saturday afternoons.  The Bar stays open until midnight if members are present.  It is such a beautiful place to live.  The golf course is excellent on so many levels.

Steelwood has hired 3 assistant professionals to run the outside operations.  The "outside guys" did a tremendous job for us over the years and we thank them.  With this change, Steelwood will maintain a high level of service and eliminate a large number of non-member rounds played on the course.
