The following is an update on the paving of Watertower Road: There have been some final contract negotiations that were just completed. The City has now decided on the contractor and should have final contract documents signed this week. They also have a storm water permit that must be received from the state. That said, they should have equipment on the road either next week or the week after. The contract is a 120 day contract and is a design-build contract, which trimmed several months off of the schedule. I had 'sort of' a day off for my Birthday. I was finally able to collect my thoughts and relax. I put together this video of my last vacation, perhaps as a reminder that I need to take another vacation soon. Working seven days a week, almost non stop, makes one dull and old. This is the coolest mapping thing I've seen in some time. I love using Google Street View but I also love the Bird's Eye view of Microsoft's Virtual Earth. Google satellite view gives another great view point depending on what you are looking for.
