I am a retired Greater Sacramento Realtor. My career spanned 40 years beginning in 1981, and ending in 2021. MY INTERESTS & HOBBIES: In addition to family activities, I am active in a Sacramento history group, and a local Sacramento area genealogy group. I actively research several family names. I also have a special love of cooking. For several years, I worked at an international software development company, which was represented by people from all over the globe. During that time, I was fortunate enough to learn special recipes from a number of them. They include, Indian, Caribbean, Spanish, Italian, Mexican, Romanian, Hungarian, Irish, and Carolina "Low Country" recipes. I have developed a special interest in mixing certain recipes from varying ethnic groups to create unique recipes and combinations not usually seen. Another of my favorite pastimes is gardening. And, I often find myself spending hours in my garden, and wondering where time has gone! I am interested in photography and cameras. This interest began as a child, and has remained and was perpetuated in my Real Estate career, family activities, and travel. Last but not least, I enjoy travel - both foreign and domestic.

Today was a stunningly beautiful day in Sacramento - cold, but beautiful!  A family member flew in from Kansas City for the holidays, and landed on-time at the airport. Shortly thereafter flights throughout the country began to experience delays due to storms now affecting some states. Before retu...

For some crazy reason this year, I've been slow on the uptake for putting up my holiday decorations.  I've been in "Simplify" and "Less is more" mode all month! However, this evening while I was gallivanting about on a couple errands, I came across this house on Lisa Marie Way in Carmichael. The ...

It's no secret Lake Tahoe offers a number of recreational opportunities on a year round basis.  However, yesterday I quickly noticed one of the usual landmarks, Lake Tahoe Golf Course, was nowhere to be seen.  The reason - It was covered with snow, and during these winter months is used for a com...

There are times when I switch the ignition of my car, and have no idea where I will journey before driving back into the garage.  Nearly always Saturday morning finds me at the local farmer's market, which congregates in a local shopping center parking lot. Sacramento has been experiencing mornin...

I am still trying to wrap my arms around the idea that this year is all but over.  The new year will usher in the advent of another important tax filing season.  Although we are keenly aware some homeowners are having difficulty paying their mortgages, it is important to realize the substant...

As the American River travels from its place of origin, west of Lake Tahoe, in the high Sierras of Nevada, it meanders through Tahoe and El Dorado National Forests, and the Sierra foothills.  The American River consists of three forks - the South, Middle and North until it reaches a point of inte...
