I am a retired Greater Sacramento Realtor. My career spanned 40 years beginning in 1981, and ending in 2021. MY INTERESTS & HOBBIES: In addition to family activities, I am active in a Sacramento history group, and a local Sacramento area genealogy group. I actively research several family names. I also have a special love of cooking. For several years, I worked at an international software development company, which was represented by people from all over the globe. During that time, I was fortunate enough to learn special recipes from a number of them. They include, Indian, Caribbean, Spanish, Italian, Mexican, Romanian, Hungarian, Irish, and Carolina "Low Country" recipes. I have developed a special interest in mixing certain recipes from varying ethnic groups to create unique recipes and combinations not usually seen. Another of my favorite pastimes is gardening. And, I often find myself spending hours in my garden, and wondering where time has gone! I am interested in photography and cameras. This interest began as a child, and has remained and was perpetuated in my Real Estate career, family activities, and travel. Last but not least, I enjoy travel - both foreign and domestic.

There is something that sometimes gives me concern. It often happens while I'm visiting Facebook pages of some of my young family members.  It is astonishing how relaxed they can sometimes be, with the amount of information they are willing to dish out and post, while using social media. Grant...

When I stepped out of my house at about 11:30 am today, it was pouring rain, with a lot of hail slurried in.  What a perfect day to have lunch at Biba’s in the midtown section of Sacramento.  Biba’s is known for her wonderfully authentic Italian dishes with the freshest of ingredients.  And the r...

I hope all of you had a delightful Easter!  We enjoyed near 70 degrees of glorious springtime warmth today.  It was a perfect day to be outside enjoying nature’s gifts.  Much of my day was spent at my daughter’s home, with about 20 family members.  There was great food, plus an egg hunt for the k...

I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Happy Easter!Tomorrow will be a BIG day for many children, while they hunt treasured eggs hidden by either humans, or the legendary Easter Bunny.  It may also be a good time to remember it isn't always the best idea to put all one's eggs in ...

Easter weekend is usually family time around my house.  In addition to a traditional Easter Dinner, there is another recipe I plan on cooking during our time together.  It is an adaption to traditional Jambalaya, which I call “California Jambalaya.” I’m hoping it will help kick start our holiday ...

If you have been a real estate professional for any length of time at all, you have more than likely had an impossible or difficult client to work with.Over the years I’ve been in this business, I’ve noted agents seem to gravitate to three different methods of handling these situations.(1) Some a...
