Sacramento’s native daughter, Greta Gerwig is an amazing woman. She attended St. Francis High School, where my daughters, Jill and Tami, also attended, several years earlier.
After graduation, Greta went on to write the 2017 movie, “Lady Bird,” which I had really enjoyed a few years ago. There has been other screen successes added to Greta's resume, as well.
I had been hoping to carve out a little time to view “Barbie,” Greta's new blockbuster film. I didn’t need to hope long. Today, my grandkid, Macie celebrated her 23rd birthday. And, “Barbie,” was the party theme. An abundance of pink decorations … (11 comments)

greta gerwig: Best of Luck, "Lady Bird"

My daughters, Tami and Jill, graduated from St. Francis High School here in Sacramento. So did Greta Gerwig, who wrote and directed the autobiographic Oscar nominated movie, "Lady Bird." The flick has garnered five Academy Award nominations.
This evening, my girls are attending the party at their old Alma Mater, featured in the "Vanity Fair" article linked below. They are wearing vintage prom dresses to the event, and Greta Gerwig will be wearing her prom dress to the Oscars.
I will be watching the awards this evening. Much of our City, Sacramento, is featured. “Lady Bird” is … (31 comments)
