office space: The problem with commercial real estate leasing signs - 07/21/09 11:53 AM
When I drive down any main street, I see signs in front of buildings that have commercial space available.  Most of these signs basically say nothing about the space that is available and are just an advertising billboard for the commercial brokerage company. 
How many signs have you seen that just say "Available", followed by a humongous company logo and phone number?  It doesn't say what is available - office, retail or industrial space; it doesn't say how much space is available - 2,000 square feet or 20,000 square feet.  So what does this tell the prospective client?
