To Include or Not Include the listing price...that is the question - 11/30/11 07:16 PM
There is such a split on which way is best and I have been asked many times throughout the years about listing fliers. I think if I were to ask 100 Real Estate Agents which is the better approach, I would likely see a 50/50 split on which is best. I myself have an opinion on the matter, and agree with what Ben Kinney has to say. I have stumbled upon a great blog/video post from Ben Kinney of Keller Williams in Washington. I wanted to do a quick update on my Active Rain post "Some Guy Who''s Name I Can't Remember Postcard Marketing", It's been almost a month since I received his "first"...and I'm still predicting...his "only" postcard. I kept the postcard (printed at Vista Print...their marketing was on his postcard???) and stumbled upon it recently. Still can't remember the guy's name, and I took a moment to read it again! I'm coming up empty. I'm still waiting...waiting...waiting to see if he will attempt a second postcard drop. I'm predicting, he won't and has now wasted his investment of time and his "free (5 comments)

As a Realtor (R), I probably don't have to tell you that you need to "list to last" in the real estate profession. Listings lead to more listings because listings give you exposure. Marketing your listings gives you even more exposure. The big question becomes exactly HOW do you make sure you are always "listing" to make sure you last. I've talked to many people who have been in the business for more than 20 years and they all tell me the same thing. Farming...marketing...farming...and more marketing! You need a plan, a real estate marketing plan that leads you down the (2 comments)

Expired listings are on the rise and could be the perfect place to carve out a niche for yourself in your real estate market. I would be so very interested in hearing from you...the Realtors about what is happening with expired listings in your area and why the need for "expired listing postcards" are on the rise. I have read some very interesting strategies for marketing to expired listings and figured I would share what I found. One agent who has seen success in working the "expired Listing" market says that his success comes from targeting such a targeted list of (0 comments)

I'm not looking to bust any chops here, but I do hope to save someone (at least one person) from wasting money on real estate marketing that won't work other than to waste your hard earned money. I hate to see people believe that investing in a one-time only real estate marketing plan (can't really even consider it a "plan" with just one mailing) will actually yield results, because IT WON'T. There is the anomaly and we have heard many stories from several of our clients, but it is absolutely NOT the norm. Your kidding yourself if you for one second (7 comments)
