         Tonight I am missing my childhood friend's father.  I can remember sitting        on their living room floor and listening to Mr. Miller as he sat on the piano        bench and read "Twas the Night Before Christmas". 
 
When he finished we got to open up ONE gift (some how there was always one there for me!).  It was special that they always included me on Christmas Eve for the story reading.  On Christmas Day, they included me again and we all piled into the car and went to Crandon Park Beach. It was tradition!

A friend of mine sent me this YouTube clip.  It made me laugh and it made me cry at the same time.
Watch these two animals, a cat and a crow, care for each other, look out for each other, love each other.
It's long but well worth it!

Here are a few hints to keep warm while keeping your heating costs down. 
 
 
Weather strip your doors and windows to keep the warm air from leaking out.  Someone at your local Home Improvement store can show you how to install the stripping.  Or you can Google "how to install weather stripping" and you'll find plenty of sites to show you how.  It's easy to do and not very expensive.
 
 
Keep your thermostat at 68° F.   If this is too cold, try wearing an extra sweater and put extra blankets on the beds.  Remember, you're trying to keep your costs down.

I just read an article by Mary Hunt about negativity.  Mary seems to think that your life will be miserable if all your thoughts are negative.  I agree with her.The article goes on to say that only you are in control of your thoughts.  Your actions are a result of those thoughts.  You can think negatively, thinking only about what is wrong or what can go wrong in your lives and be miserable.  OR.....You can think positively, focusing on what is good in your life, and smile.  Be happy.Mary challenged her readers to come up with 10 things that are good in their lives.  … (17 comments)

I want my time at the Debate table.  I just read Dan Forbes' post The Debate Rages on About The Usefulness of Open Houses.  Here's my response.I've posted before in my own blog how I feel about Open Houses.  I love them.  I'm telling you again.....
OK - I'll admit it. 
I do Open Houses.  I'm a Buyers Agent. 
I don't have any listings.  But my broker does.  Lots of them. 
They're foreclosures.   I hold them Open. 
Do I sell the house that I held open?  Sometimes.
Indirectly.

I subscribe to the comic strip Mutts.  Every day I get the strip but it's a week behind.  What I got today is from Nov 17th.  This one got me to thinking.....
Do you think that animals try to improve their dwellings? Do they fix them up and then try to get other animals to live in them when they're ready to move on?  Or do they just move on and leave their eyesore for someone else to fix up and flip?   haha
Either way, this one made me grin.
