If you live in New England, odds are, you know what the Big E is. The biggest fair in New England!

Located in West Springfield, MA, it is easy to access from just about everywhere in the northeast. This year it is running from September 18th - October 4th and as always, has something for everyone!

Feel like shopping? Vendors are everywhere! Scattered throughout the fair, in the Better Living Center, the State buildings, feel free to shop til you drop!

Got the kids or just feelin' a lil kid-like yourself? Go to Funland!! Games and rides galor... If you are bringing the kids, its a great behavior bargaining chip! Once they get a gander of Funland, they will be perfect lil angels to ensure that they get to go in.

Parades, everyday! The daily parade is at 5, Mardi Gras parade is at 7:30. Be ready to catch some beads!

Big name entertainment! Most of the shows are free even! There is something for everyone! Sugarland, Charice, Foghat, Boyz II Men, Lane Turner, Little Big Town, Jamey Johnson, Seether, and Brett Michaels Rock Of Love Tour. I think Sugarland is the only one this year that you need to buy tickets for.

Exhibits, the circus and petting zoos! Animals galore!!

The Avenue of States: Learn what New England is all about! Each building is a replica of its state's original statehouse sitting on land actually owned by that state. Each building houses state specific food, crafts, etc that their state is known for. Make sure to grab some clam fritters in the Rhode Island building, cheddar and maple syrup from Vermont, blueberries and baked potatoes from Maine... Baked potatoes from Maine - you ask? Oh yeah... if you do not mind waiting in line, they are sooo worth it!

FOOD, oh... THE FOOD!! Dieters BEWARE!! Don't do it... Don't try it... Don't even think about going to the Big E and not indulging into the delightful,  the delicious, and the decadent. It is so worth every last calorie AND... Just think of all the calories you will burn off walking around the fair.... See? Its not so bad, right? Remember: Its not cheating... its TREATING yourself! And you are worth it!

Hi All,

Besides market our listings, what does Craigslist do for you? I am curious as to how others are using it and how successful it is for them.

Just recently my best friend's 20 year old brother bought a beautiful condo and his mortgage with taxes is only $715. If he was to rent something similar, he would be paying at least $850. Which got me thinking...why would anyone rent when they can own? (provided they have credit good enough to get a mortgage) Why would anyone pay more money into somebody else's mortgage, when they could be paying their own mortgage while saving money at the same time?

The only answer I can come up with is simply that people do not realize it is possible.

And then there was Craigslist...

I started using Craigslist just recently to meet more buyers. I put an ad in offering to help people find homes they can purchase that the mortgage would be less than they would pay to rent. I had a really good response the first time. The second time did not have as many responses. Yes you do get some odd responses/requests, but the majority have really been receptive and what really suprised me, they were appreciative! I have met some really great people who would love to own their own home, but just never thought was an option. I love the idea of helping people build toward their future. What better way to do it than own your own home?!

Okay Rain, I've showed you mine... will you show me yours?
