As I sit here reading through my daily blog entries, I looked out the window and saw this beautiful rainbow toward the mountains. We typically see the rainbows to the east with late day rain, but today, we are having an unusual day, very windy with rain on the front range to the west. Fortunately, it still counts as one of our 360 days of sunshine as the rainbow will attest. Nancy

Boo at the Zoo. Colorado Springs Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. It is that time of year again, Boo at the Zoo. A great family event where children come dressed in their Halloween costumes and trick or treat (mostly treat) in a friendly and safe environment. Visit animal exhibits under the evening night with Halloween lights. We did this several years ago when our boys were much smaller. They loved it. They dressed up in their costumes and we walked all the areas open to the public. Several animal exhibits were closed but the boys still had fun visiting with all the employees (1 comments)
Luxury homes and lots for sale in Pinecrest, Pine Creek, Colorado Springs. As I walked my favorite route today I took my camera along with me. There are clear signs of recovery for the housing market in Colorado Springs. Only a few lots remain for sale in Pine Creek, of these most are half acre lots in Pinecrest, a luxury home development in Colorado Springs. Many of the remaining Pinecrest lots have views of Pikes Peak and of Pine Creek, though the premium lots with the unobstructed view and adjacent to Pine Creek Golf Course were sold more than 4 (1 comments)

Speechless Sunday - Fall Colors in Colorado Springs. Like most places in the nation, we have beautiful fall colors in Colorado Springs. But, because our trees do not grow large and fast, we have beautiful OPEN skies allowing us to take in the view of the front range framed by the fall colors. Enjoy!

COLORADO SPRINGS MLS (AND PIKES PEAK REGION) HOUSING STATISTICS FOR SEPTEMBER 2010: Total active listings are up 13.0% over September 2009 but are down 5% from August 2010 . Sales trend continues at a much slower pace than this time 2009, down 26.4% from September 2009 and 12.4% from August 2010. The good news is that Average sales price continue trending upwards at is up 6.8% over September 2009, but down 6.3% from August 2010. Median price is up 2.6% over September 2009 but down 4.9% over August 2010. The absorption rate remains high at 9.2 months due to the reduction in (0 comments)
