Homebuyer Tax Credit-What Do You Think? - 06/30/10 11:05 AM
So today's the day it's supposed to end. And, unless the Senate passes a bill quickly it will!
I have mixed emotions about this credit and it's ultimate results. The rush to get there in the month of April brought most of us a surge of business...some good, some not so good.
Personally, most of my buyers were simply the normal Spring buyers and did not expect to get the credit, so I have not felt the panic some of you have during the month of June to get these closed.

Earlier this month I had the opportunity to attend a cinemeeting done by Brian Buffini. 
There were many important points to remember for Realtors, but one sticks in my mind so indelibly that I felt the need to blog about it!
THERE HAVE BEEN OVER 600 UNDERWRITING CHANGES MADE IN THE LAST YEAR!!!!
Why is this important...well for starters we are expected, by our clients, to know everything that happens during the process of buying and selling a home.

As a long time Realtor I can confidently tell you that today's home values are much harder to determine than they were 10 years ago.
Today's  vlaues depend on so many things we didn't even know about 10 years ago. Today we must filter in Short Sales, Foreclosures, Vacant Properties, New Tax Values, and on and on.
Today's homeowner is faced with national figures that have plummeted an estimated 22% nationwide (reported in Your Money magazine this June.
