It's a Negotiation-Not a Purchase Order - 10/28/10 09:08 AM
A few days ago I received a typically low offer on one of my listings. I strategized with my sellers to figure out how we could best get them to their bottom line and came back with a counter-offer about 3% below our list price. I sent along to the comparables we used to justify both our list price and counter-offer. The price/square foot on the list price was the exact average price/square foot of the homes sold year to date in the neighborhood. The agent seemed very annoyed at our counter-offer.
