I admire Jason Crouch and his "realness." I am a huge supporter of this message, too! Jason, we appreciate you. I appreciate you! Keep up the great attitude and the great work!
I lost two more friends to cancer recently. One of them was a hilarious girl I knew in college. She was 42 years old, and she had a phenomenally good attitude about her illness. The other was a friend I made originally on Twitter, then through a number of phone calls. She was also a guest on my radio show, and she wanted me to go into business with her at one point. She was funny, creative, and interesting. She was 59.
One of the downfalls to knowing and caring about a lot of people is the fact that you also get to experience a lot more loss than the average person. I know thousands of people, and I have hundreds of friends. I'm not tooting my own horn - it's simply true. I consider it a huge blessing, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am energized by people. My wife tells me that this is the very definition of an extrovert. I have no doubt that this is the case.
So, since we all know that we can't predict the future, and our lives are delicate, why don't we take more time to let people know how we feel about them?
If you love someone, tell him/her. Do it right now. I've never been shy about expressing my feelings toward my family or even my close friends. I don't want there to be any doubts about this, should I die unexpectedly.
"I love you" is a powerful phrase, especially when it's sincere.
"I appreciate your friendship" is another meaningful thing to say, and I guarantee that it will be memorable to the recipient.
I had a friend that passed away three years ago who used to call me JUST to encourage me. No agenda. He didn't want anything in return. He just wanted to be my friend.
Do that.
Be a friend. A real friend, not a friend who expects reciprocation. Ironically, we probably each communicate with more people than ever before, but it's often on a more shallow scale than it used to be.
Have you called anyone lately to tell them how much you appreciate/love/respect/care about them? Why not? Are you concerned about making yourself vulnerable?
I've tried to make it a point to do this more often, and it's very liberating. The saying, "pay it forward" is more than a little trite, I suppose, but it's the quickest way to explain what I'm suggesting.
Take five minutes and call someone you know and like and just say something nice or tell a friend you were thinking of them. Do it daily. This isn't even completely altruistic, because it will make you feel better, too.
If you need some practice, call me. I promise it will be a good time for all involved. :)

Copyright law infringement is a huge and valid concern of many bloggers or web publishers. Brad provides a comprehensive useful guide and I am happy to share it with you!
Some of the best posts and blogs I have ever seen, stood out more because of the photos and graphics. Many of my posted photos are taken by me, but what about some of those awesome graphics and clipart you see in many blogs? Where do these people find these creative and post-related cool graphics?
Some photos and images are protected by copyright laws and SHOULD NEVER be used in your blog or on your website. However, there are many websites that also offer FREE graphics, photos, backgrounds and clipart.
Search google for a specific item, and then only select images, graphics and photos that are public domain and not copyright protected or stamped by an author, website, or company. Since we all have camera phones with digital cameras built in, and many of us do take our own photos, it would be nice to have a place on Active Rain that allowed members to contribute and access graphics and photos for their posts. Until then, there is plenty out there for you to choose from.
Here are just a few of those sites you might want to check out.
There are more than 1,000,000 free images, photos, graphics, clipart and backgrounds out on the web. They can be used on your websites, your blogs, your flyers, publications, and email etc. If you don't like any of them, or are looking for something custom, use your camera phone or digital, and go shoot your own.
I have written a few posts just based on a photo I had taken, or an idea that came from a particular graphic. If a picture tells a thousand stories, wouldn't you like access to a thousand pictures? Enjoy these sites and I wish you continued Blogging successes!!
"May this blog be just one more planted seed of wisdom that helps you or your business blossom today!"

Many of my clients e-mailed me first thing in the morning asking "How can I access my Facebook Page?" or "Where did my Facebook Page go?" ... or out of habit, "Where is my 'Fan Page'?"...
With the new Facebook Page Upgrade, your Facebook Page can still be accessed through the Account Menu on your Facebook Top Bar. The name simply changed from "Manage Pages" to "Use Facebook as Page".
Now these are not the only changes we are experiencing. I copied the tour for you so you can become familiar with that is coming. It is basically creating consistency between the new Facebook profiles and Facebook Official Pages. That makes the platform more user friendly indeed.
If you don't have a Facebook Page, you MUST create one. It is the absolutely most fantastic way to promote your offering (whether you are promoting products, services, ideas, awareness, etc.)
If you do have one, click on "Use Facebook as Page" and you will be set up to upgrade to the new Facebook Pages and start taking advantage of this great tool. Here's what my alert looked like!
Once you upgrade, these are the changes you will see:
1- Photos will display on the top, just like they do on your profile. I love this feature because most Facebook beginners would not know to click on a Facebook Tab to discover your snapshots. I love pictures!
2- Navigation on the left, just like on any other area of Facebook. Consistency is key...it also sells! Mark Zuckerberg sure knows what he does!
Of course, the "juice" of the matter are your posts. They will be prominently displayed for exposure.
I always recommend that you post on your Facebook page at least once a day. You can do it!
I like that you can access your settings (Edit Page) with much more ease than in the previous style. This is a much more friendly approach to configure your Facebook page!
When you use Facebook as Page now you can have a completely separate experience. This is hands down THE BEST FACEBOOK PAGE UPGRADE EVER! Now you can promote your Facebook Page rather than your personal profile. How's that for exposure?
PS on this! Don't forget your Facebook Insights...what a great value. I love measurable marketing tools!
So skip your preview and simply upgrade! Don't upgrade just one...upgrade all your Facebook Pages. Don't wait to enjoy the fun!

Facebook seems to be on a mission to eradiate fear of change, by constantly introducing something new to enhance the social network's experience.
After recent changes to Facebook Groups, Facebook Messaging Service and the Check-in Appplication, yesterday, on a 60 Minutes Sunday night feature, Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook CEO, unveiled the "new Facebook profile", yet another change to the most popular social networking platform in existence.
The newest Facebook update consists in a new look to Facebook personal profiles, designed with the purpoe to "give a sense of who (people) are", according to Facebook's Product Manager's statementto USA Today.
The new Facebook profile will prominently display users' information at the top of the profiles. You will be able to see a Facebook user's employer, hometown, relationship status, interests, and more...without having to click the info tab.
I believe this intuitive approach will make it less confusing for those learning to use Facebook and easier for "not-so-new" Facebook users who are looking to take advantage of Facebook's imminent networking value in marketing or advertising a product or service to carefully targeted users.
If you have not yet experienced the new profile, Facebok will prompt you in a future login to your Facebook homepage or profile. Just click on the notification and you'll be all set.
So get ready to embrace change as Facebook reinvents itself over and over. There's defnitely a lot more to come (and to get used to)!

“Now a days more web sites are getting infected with malicious code and, hackers injecting the malware code, which puts your website and whole business onto risk. We use lots of free tools, browser add-ons, widgets and third party content, these code are back doors for such codes. Here are few tips to understand the cause and prevention:
* What are malicious iframes and what causes them?
Over the years hackers found it hard to trick people into visiting suspicious sites so they’re now targeting legit sites and using them to infect unknowing customers. In most cases an FTP account’s password is obtained through key logging malware, then legit website files are modified to distribute the malware and gather more passwords. If your PC has been infected with one of these trojans, your bank account, email accounts, and FTP accounts may no longer be secure.
- Ensure you use the latest browser version - Disable javascript - Use the firefox addon noscript - Download and install some free antivirus software, make sure it stays updated - Use http://www.avg.com.au/index.cfm?section=avg&action=onlinescan to test suspicious links you are given in emails or find online.

I was not home. There was no way I was going to make it home and be ready...so my cousin does the signing up, reads all the rules so I am "compliant".
The video making didn't take long (it's not great but it's honest!) - it was un-edited and un-rehearsed. The application was LONG and intense! Watch it and tell me what you think.
Please vote as many times as you'd like, re-post, and share it with all your email contacts, your facebook and twitter contacts, everyone you know so they can do the same. I only have one more day!

When talking about your brand (your company, your products, your services…you), it helps to “get in your customer’s shoes”. Tell your target market, your prospects, your niche what they want to hear.
A fun technique is to play pretend. Pretend your readers are interviewing you and you need to come up with a quick, impressive, and compelling answer.
Here are 10 sample questions:
How many years have you been in service?
What motivated you to become a Realtor?
What obstacles or challenges have you faced in your career?
What is the best advice you have ever been given?
What have been the keys to success in your business?
How would you describe what separates you from your competition?
What do your customers/clients say about you?
What types of marketing do you employ?
Do you believe networking and contacts are important? If so, how?
What advice do you have for new Realtors?
Knowing [and sharing] the answers to these questions will really help you build stronger relationships with your prospect clients or strengthen existing relationships with your existing clients.
What other questions can you answer? Would you share your interview with me? I’d love to read it!

All Facebook "Fan Page" owners should become aware that any Admin can be removed any other Admin, including the "owner" Admin.
If you are the originating Admin, then you should be very careful when selecting additional Admins, as they may remove the Page Creator.
If you have an Official Page, go and check whether you have given access to anyone who doesn't have you utmost trust.
