I have been reminding all of my clients from 2007 to get their homestead filed and to check to see if they qualify for the new Portability.

One of my seller's sold the home they had lived in for several years in 2007.  They moved into their new home the end of 2006 and moved their homestead from the home they sold in 2007 to the new home they moved into for year 2007.  I told them to check with the Property Appraiser but that it didn't look like they will have the opportunity for the Portability.  Can anyone answer that question?
