Showhomes Sees Spike in Sales of Luxury Homes - 11/24/09 11:41 AM
Showhomes Greenville is partnering with Realtors and sellers to produce the same results in our local market. Via Thomas Scott - Showhomes (Showhomes): Innovative Home Staging is Key to Home Sales in Down Market
With a $569,000 Tampa home sitting on the market for a year and a half and no signs of a sale, Tracy Truitt was a disheartened Realtor looking for a new approach that would help her sell her listing. Truitt, a Realtor with Century 21 Elite in Tampa, discovered Showhomes, a pioneer in the home staging industry, and its unique spin on traditional home staging: the nationally (0 comments)
Dividing the spaces in a small place - 11/21/09 07:01 AM
It never cease to amaze me. Staging provides a better sense of scale every time! The rooms are not only more memorable, but they appear BIGGER as well! Via Thomas Scott - Showhomes (Showhomes): Dividing the spaces in a small place It's an age-old problem with small houses: how do you make the spaces look larger and more functional so the spaces don't seem so SMALL?? This problem is even tougher in a condo where all the spaces are small. Cindy Montgomery in our Showhomes Minneapolis office emailed me these photos to explain how she divides up small spaces and uses (1 comments)
Sold in 10 Days after Home Staging - 11/16/09 07:29 AM
This home reminds me a lot of one I recently staged. Without furniture that living room looks like it's 5 x 8 at first glance, but clearly it is much larger once we see it furnished. It looks very comfy and cozy - intimate without being cramped. That isn't small scale furniture! Best of all, skillful staging produced a quick sale! Weird Spaces - 11/15/09 08:06 PM
What have I been doing? Taking care of business - that's what! Here is one of the staging jobs I recently completed. Older houses that have been renovated are especially likely to have weird spaces that present challenges to stagers and force us to be really creative. This project was fun for me and I am quite proud of the end result.
This room wasn't even in the original MLS pictures. Because of the size – roughly 220 sq ft of floor space, the owners were counting it as a 4th BR, but because of the gabled ceilings it was (3 comments)
Via Thomas Scott - Showhomes (Showhomes): Laura Johnson of Showhomes Naperville in the Western Suburbs of Chicago emailed me today about a great success story from a home in Elmhurst they recently staged:
'We have great news to share about one of our new construction homes! After 503 days on the market, the home sold within 32 days of Showhomes staging it!"
Here's some before and after of this really nice home:
Great job! This is one of two homes we staged for a builder who started the (2 comments)
Via Thomas Scott - Showhomes (Showhomes): Jared Biby of Showhomes Jacksonville emailed me these photos of a stunning home they just staged with a live in home manager in Marsh Landing, the exclusive golf community in Ponte Vedra:
Wow - what a difference! Builder Biege is tough in today's market. Every home has similar, monochromatic colors and if buyers look at several homes, the rooms quickly run together. I love the pattern on the area rug - it really changes the feel of the room. Great job by Kaye Biby on staging this home!
