Update on Clyde - Liver, Gall Baldder, & Pancreas Problems in Dogs - Basset Hound - 12/29/07 06:28 PM
Thanks to everyone who commented, contacted me, and said prayers for my baby boy Clyde. He is doing much better now.
Turns out that nothing was really wrong with his liver (its about normal for his age) but his gall bladder was about 5 times the normal size due to an infection. This was not visible on x-ray, but was seen in a sonagram.
He sure had us scared. Since we started medications (anti-biotics and anti-oxidants) he has improved quite a bit. He is still not quite back to normal, but he is eating on his own - as long as it is something good. … (4 comments)

My beloved Basset Hound Clyde has been refusing to eat - that's right a Basset Hound who won't eat - and he has been sick for a couple of weeks. The vets cannot provide a definitive answer on what exactly is wrong with him. Maybe some of my AR friends have had experience with something similar...
He normally is very boisterous and vocal. Normally, he will eat just about anything - although he is not too fond of celery.
