Yes, there are a few locations in the Twin Cities where natural gas lines were crosed with sewer lines back in the 1980's. So do you need a sewer inspection before purchasing a home? Probabaly not. However, if you have Xcel Energy as your natural gas company, then you might want to call them before you do any plumbing work that goes into the sewer line in your yard or to the street.
