websites: E-Pro vs AR-Pro: are you an AR-PRO? - 12/02/08 02:15 PM

In my previous post: E-Pro is a waste of a designation, I talked about why E-Pro (in my opinion) is a waste of a designation. Overwhelmingly, there were many people who believed that the designation was a waste of money.
While I was not intending to completely Bash the designation, I was intending to obtain feedback as to whether people agreed with me or not.
A few hours of clicking and a few hundred dollars later you can have a “E-Pro” designation. Good for you!
What about AR-Pro? Are you serious about conquering the internet? I would like to discuss … (1 comments)

websites: E-Pro is a waste of a designation - 12/01/08 11:28 AM
The E-Pro designation is a complete waste of money.
Yeah, I just went there. For many agents, the E-Pro designation is an “opportunity” to learn about all of the ‘new’ tools available to agents. And sure it does live up to the promise of a bunch of new tools, but it is a waste of money.
Think about it, you are on ActiveRain networking with some of the top agents in the Country. You can search blogs for many great new tools, and often find these things before anyone ever has a clue about them:
Example: home411.com.  I was one of … (123 comments)

websites: How Many Website Meta Keywords Do I Use? - 10/13/08 07:00 PM
I have been doing a substantial amount of research on website SEO and I have not yet found one solid offer. Point2 currently fills up the KEYWORD section with a large amount of words and tags.
I read today that 10 WORDS per page is the best way to rise in GOOGLE. The article I read said to make sure that the content on the page is in line with the keywords. It also mentioned to use a sentence for the description with these words.
So, how many keywords do I use for my website?
Is it 10 solid words. 10 solid … (15 comments)

websites: Internet Marketing for Beginners - 10/06/08 02:24 PM
So, you are stuck trying to figure out what next? Well, let me ask you a few things:
#1. What is your niche?
- If you don't have a niche. Find one. If you can't find one, read the book "riches in the niches"
#2. What is your budget?
- Do you have to do all of this yourself or can you afford to pay a consultant. (Either a flat fee or a commission based fee).
#3. When do you want to grow your business?
- Today? Tomorrow? Most people would say yesterday!
#4. How committed are you?
Becoming a specialist does … (0 comments)

websites: Google Sitemaps and Website SEO? - 10/05/08 08:12 AM
Does anyone know how Google Sitemaps can affect your SEO? I have been working on helping my website rank in Google. Within 1 year I have been able to move up into the top 5 pages of multiple categories and the top 2 pages within 2 categories. However, I would like to make sure my page is featured all over. Any idea how to do this?
Do I need to always update my google sitemap? Are there other ways to rise in Google?
-- And if anyone really knows, how do I move up in Yahoo as well? Google is by … (5 comments)

Welcome to Internet Marketing 101: Riding this Wave we call the internet! My name is Nick, and today we are going to cover the basics. Before we begin... a story you may or may not want to read! :)
As I begin my new venture in the world of online marketing, I have come across new challenges that I did not face when I first began. One reason for this may be that I am in a new market that I am unfamiliar with.
Anyway, I spent about 2 hours in a meeting yesterday as an outside consultant for the real … (1 comments)

websites: Myspace or Facebook? - 09/03/07 10:28 PM
All through college I have used MySpace to keep in touch with friends and family. I have always thought that it would be too much to have both a MySpace and a Facebook account and keep up with them. However, I have noticed from quite a few websites that you can post listings on Facebook. Is it best to have them both or is one better than the other for business purposes?
So what do you think: MySpace or Facebook and why???
All questions thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated!
