I know what you're thinking....and you're right!!! I'd like to say tat every dog has it's day. Today my wife and daughter convinced me to go stop by and visit an animal rescue center nearby. Two days ago we were over at the animal shelter and left without anything other than a receipt for all the dog food we donated. Well today I have to say that we are now the proud owners of a new addition to the family. Please meet Roxy....she's about 6-7 months old according to her foster parents. So you're probably wondering who in the world is Roscoe. Well...over a year ago I was a bit down wondering how long my dog would live so my feelings took over and I wrote this post called Mans best friend,how much do you grieve after ones death . When I wrote it the first draft was pretty bad as far as my spelling and the wording so I didn't want to alter it too much just so you can see it was written from the heart. You can take this post both as a serious post with a pinch of humor but this is something that has really been bugging me for a few years. What I'm about to tell you below occurred when I lived in my last neighborhood and now it has seemed to follow me to my present neighborhood. My dog's name is Roscoe. He is a Jack Russell Terrier.....he was also the pick of the litter which means he is the most dominant in his pack. My wife and I wanted a dog and when we picked Roscoe. It took us about 1 month of reading different books,talking to different breeders and checking different locations as to where we can find him.
