Redding CA - On the I-5 to Mount Shasta is Castle Craigs State Park - 07/24/10 10:16 AM
We took a trip up to Dunsmuir and combined that with a side adventure to Castle Craigs.
We use to live 25 minutes from Yosemite Valley and so we love the majestic power of Nature's glacier work.
The park is beautiful and worth the trip. The wildlife includes Black-tailed deer, California Quail, Bobcat, Canada Geese, Coyote, Mountain Lion, Spotted Owl, Bald Eagle (we saw one fishing on Lake Shasta), Black Bear, Pronghorn Black Bear and Rattlesnake.
The trees in the park are Sugar Pine, White Fir, Mountain Hemlock, Incense Cedar, Lodgepole Pine, Ponderosa Pine, and Douglas Fir. We enjoyed our trip. … (4 comments)

Redding CA - Shasta Lake on a Clear Day You Can See Mount Shasta! - 07/23/10 03:41 PM
We were on a day trip recently up to Castle Craigs. We've never been and they always beckon on our trips up to Mount Shasta. We just keep driving by but on Monday we decided to make the trip. Having lived 20 minutes from the Yosemite Valley, we rather love the creative thing glaciers do to the landscape.
On our way back home, we decided to stop by and take photos of Lake Shasta while it is full. Having lived here for years and never once seen it full...well we thought it worth the effort. Coming soon will be more on … (9 comments)

Did the Banks Really Need Bail Out Money? - It Appears Not - They Laundered Money for the Mexican Drug Cartel! - 07/16/10 02:36 PM
Released from Bloomberg today on their site and in the August edition of Bloomberg Markets that Wacovia and Bank of America laundered money for the Mexican Drug Cartel. Here is an except from the post on Bloomberg:
'The smugglers had bought the DC-9 with laundered funds they transferred through two of the biggest banks in the U.S.: Wachovia Corp. and Bank of America Corp., Bloomberg Markets magazine reports in its August 2010 issue'
I would guess that the Banks never really needed that bailout....they seem to have many irons in the fire! I'm just dying to know what WILL BE … (7 comments)

Here is an article on the current Gulf of Mexico Crisis and how it points to Capitalism and the deregulation of our markets for over 30 years. We now are in a position where it becomes necessary to make critical changes in the way we live our lives. Please read this article in it's entirety. It is long but a must read. Redding CA - Senior Realtor Makes Disparaging Remarks About ActiveRain? - 07/07/10 11:02 PM
Redding CA - Senior Realtor Makes Disparaging Remarks About ActiveRain--I recently heard from a fellow Realtor in my office that a Senior Realtor with many years of experience who has great technical skills and reputed to be knowledgeable about "The Internet" made a comment that was disparaging about ActiveRain at our Tuesday Company meeting.
It was very surprising to me to hear about it. I have great respect for the Realtor and it came as a surprise on his very demonstrable opinion of AR. His physical gestures were described in detail and offensive to this member of the AR membership.

Fourth of July Celebration - Pray for Your Neighbors in the South! - 07/03/10 10:40 AM
I find myself on this first day of the Fourth of July weekend saddened by news in the Gulf of Mexico. I pray for my country men and women and their families. Their livelihoods are gone with more to come. This will have huge ramifications on a global basis.
How about we have a contest to help save lives in the Southern and Eastern Seaboard states and to get the word out that we are not being told the truth. That just as Katrina was covered up so is this global disaster. Let's have a contest to see how we can … (3 comments)
