North Carolina State Fair 2012 is coming soon.  A great time for everyone!  And here's a preview of some of the reasons many attend.... THE FOOD AT THE NC FAIR ... it's quite the adventure!



YUMMY! not so healthy!  BUT Yummy!

Funnel cakes, candy corn, fried brownies, Krispy Kreme Burgers, and so much more!

Definitely not the low fat, vegan diet....but well it IS the State Fair!

Hours of Operation
Fairgrounds Gates Open 8 a.m. - midnight (weather permitting) Except Oct. 13, when gates open at 3 p.m. Fairgoer must have advance ticket, or purchase admission ticket prior to 10 p.m., in order to enter gates between 10 p.m. and closing.

The NC State Fair  has been around for a long time!  I attended yesterday - an absolutely beautiful Fall day!  Many hours of enjoying the sites and sounds of the NC State Fair, but the highlight in my mind is the food!  Corn dogs, roasted corn, smoked turkey legs, cotton candy, fried pies, ham biscuits...
In 1916 – Cary United Methodist Church served their first ham biscuit at the NC State Fair !  And they still serve up some of the best ham biscuits that you've ever tasted, right alongside Apex Lions Club.  For years there were "barkers" and they tried … (2 comments)
