We stopped by here for RenoMomsLikeMe's play date. My son is eight months old, and we hung out at the infant section. I was considering this place for my son first birthday but I am glad that I have visited it first.

PROS:

~Clean.

~Has a good variety of toys and activities for kids.

~Drop off play care and parent's night out may come handy someday.

~Friendly staff.

CONS:

~It is difficult to find. You have to go through the dragonflies boutique to access the facility. Their signage is not prominent.

~It was much smaller than what I have expected. The place got crowded real quick,

~ There should be a sign at the infant section. "Infants only, please." There was an unsupervised toddler that mingled with us. All of the sudden, he bit one of the babies.

~They should have a hand sanitizer mounted on a wall.

It was nice to meet other moms and my son was able to play with other babies. My son would probably enjoy it more when he gets older.

Definitely a top notch Thai Restaurant. Elegant and relaxing atmosphere. They put a lot of thought into this place. The exterior signage is a bit hard to read.

Pros:

~Posh and nice dining experience.

~Friendly staff.

~Coconut Prawns. $9.00 for four HUGE prawns. Expensive but best one I have tasted.

~Pud Thai $10. Choice of mild or spicy. Spicy, baby!

~Fried bananas with coconut ice cream. $6.00
You have to make room for this dessert! It reminds me of Philippines. Something sweet and exotic!

NOTE TO PARENTS: There is plenty of room for a stroller; however, we didn't bring ours. Our baby is now eight months old and fully capable of eating finger food. We brought our own portable high chair.

This a whole in the wall type of restaurant so do not expect fabulous ambiance. It is also a family owned business. The owners, Alicia and Gabrielle, are hard workers. Their kids are also in the restaurant to help out. I have uploaded photos of what we ordered.

Pros:

~Easy to find.

~Cheap prices.

~Burrito ~ $6.71 is HUGE. You could split this for two people.

~Carnitas ~ $12.00 Good portion. This reminds me of lechon from Philippines. Crispy skin and artery clogging good!

~Their restaurant is connected to their Mexican market.

NOTE TO PARENTS: Don't even bother bringing the stroller. I am not sure if they even have a high chair.

It is located next Josef's. My husband and I went there for an early dinner on Friday night. Thanks to Kara V's review. We had to try their gyoza. My husband was a bit reluctant but now a fan as well.

Pros:

~Minimalist decor.

~Tech savvy owners. Heck! They are on Yelp!, interactive website, Facebook, and Twitter.

~Gyoza $6.75 Very tasty!

~Kyoto Yakisoba $9.00 Very flavorful! If you like noodles, you will love this.

~Kyoto Chahan $9.00 Japanese version of fried rice. Yummy!

~Excellent service. Our server kept playing with our baby. Everyone greeted us when we came in, and when we left.

~Nice ambiance. Good place for a business lunch.

~They DO accept American Express. :-)

Tips:

~Go to their website renokyoto.com. Join their Kyoto club and print out a coupon for 25% off. It will come handy as their price is a bit expensive.

~The pace is a bit more relax so don't come here if you are in a hurry.

~The entrance was a bit confusing.

~They have happy hour specials on their sushi. Just ask.

~Their beef and tofu entree is very spicy. Clear your nasal passages kind of spicy.

~NOTE TO PARENTS: Ask for a table against a wall all the way in the back so your stroller won't be in the way. The tables are kind of close to each other.

We enjoyed our experience here. They are very welcoming and our server was very good in explaining the entrees. We will definitely be back.

It is located near Scheels. Building B111. We went there on a weekday for dinner. The place has positive vibe to it. The staff is a different story. The person who seated us did not smile. Our server never smiled either. A gentleman walking around talking to everyone whom I assume is the manager. Her never bothered to mingle with us; otherwise, I would have shared him my opinion about the service.

Pros:

~Top Shelf Frozen Margarita $5. Yummy!

~Grilled Salmon Lafayette $16.49. Big mistake. Not worth it. Salmon was overcooked and veggies were drenched with butter.

~Crawfish Creole $12.99 with Jambalaya $1.99. Very flavorful. My husband wanted to lick off his plate after his meal.

~Grits .50 It's my first time to try it so I was curios. Tastes like baby food to me.

~Live band playing

~Funky decor.

~Convenient when you are strolling around Legends.

~They DO accept American Express. :-)

Tips:

~NOTE TO PARENTS: Ask for a table against a wall near the entrance. Pushing a stroller is like going through obstacle course. The tables are so close together.

~Don't expect great service. You are lucky if you get a smile from anyone.

~Their bread is a joke. It cold and bland.

We might go back again and try their boiled crawfish. I figured that they are still new that they are working on the kinks. We'll give them another chance.

This place is always busy but it is big enough to accommodate the crowd. This is one is a much better ambiance than their other restaurant in Plumb Lane. You will have plenty of elbow room to chow down.

Their salmon is always fresh. Their mussels are awesome. Their chefs are friendly. Love..love..love. They have raised their prices. Their dinner AYCE is $18.95. It is still pretty cheap.

Note to Parents: You can request an Infant Seat Cradle that you can use while you are eating at their sushi bar. It's cradle to place your infant car seat so you do not have to worry about hauling your stroller. I think it is very nice that they have this. Not all restaurants in Reno have it.

This place is overpriced and has very lousy customer service. I was going to exchange an item that was given to me during my baby shower. It was not on my registry; therefore, I cannot return or exchange it. NADA! PERIOD! Not even a store credit. Hello! People don't always buy stuff from baby registry. Uuugghhh! I HATE this store.

Just across from IGT (International Game Technology). One star for ambiance. Modern and chic. Friendly staff. Husband and I went there on a weekday night. They were busy, and they only had two servers.

Pros:

~According to my husband, they have the best hot and sour soup. It's $3 for a cup, and good balance of flavors.

~Offers variety of mixed drinks for $8. Husband truly enjoyed his Mai Tai.

~Shrimp Pan Fried Noodles is delicious. It's $12 but the serving is a bit small.

~AYCE Sushi $23. Soooo NOT worth it. It's 70% rice and 30% meat ratio. What the heck? I feel so ripped off. I still love the Sushi Pier 2.

~Plenty of parking.

~Very friendly staff.

~They DO accept American Express. :-)

Tips:

~Skip their AYCE Sushi.

~Make reservation if you are planning to go there on a weekend.

~Mai Tai is a must.

~Beautiful ambiance.

~It could be difficult to find if you are not familiar with South Meadows.

It is a beautiful restaurant. The employees' hospitality is refreshing. The food is flavorful except for sushi. It is a nice treat but I expected more for the price.

It is located next to AMF Starlite Lane. You can see their sign from I-80 West. Husband and I went there on a weekday for dinner, and we were delighted to see a Filipino restaurant thriving.

Pros:

~$9.95 Buffet. Awesome price.

~Wide selection of Filipino food. They have adobo, kare-kare, dinuguan, leche flan, etc.

~Great service. Our waiter kept refilling our drinks and greeted us promptly. Very friendly staff.

~Modern decor with Filipino flair.

~Plenty of parking.

~They have Karaoke nights and ballroom dancing nights.

~They DO accept American Express. :-)

Tips:

~Filipino food usually taste better with steam rice; however, you will get full quickly.

~They have five popular entrees' and another five that they rotate. They didn't have pancit and lumpia when we were there.

~They didn't have a sign on each dish. If you are not familiar with Filipino food, you might have to ask.

~Make sure to make room for their desserts.

~They also offer a-la-carte menu if you don't feel like stuffing yourself silly at the buffet. They also accept to go orders, catering, and group reservations.

~They used to have Italian and Mexican food as well but not anymore. They do appreciate their patrons. They even have signs on the table thanking people for their support. They celebrate their one year anniversary this month (May 2009).

It is a great concept! With a creative mind and a little adventure, you can create your own masterpiece. You can also follow their menus for a safer route. It is located near Best Buy in corner of Los Altos Parkway and Pyramid Way.

Pros:

~Wide selection of protein, veggies, exotic sauces, spices, and starches (rice, tortilla, noodles, etc).

~Great service. Our waitress was very enthusiastic; however, she talks too fast. So fast, I can't even remember her name.

~$1.99 for a very large soda with endless refills.

~It is fun to go through the line and create your own concoction.

~Ingredients are fresh.

Tips:

~They DO accept American Express. :-)

~Plenty of parking.

~It is $8.99 for a bowl which I think is small and $10.99 for all-you-can eat. For few bucks more you can go to Atlantis' Toucan Charlie buffet that has limited Mongolian grill and whole lot more variety of other food. The $10.99 all-you-can can eat is not worth it unless you really going to stuff yourself silly.

~It has energetic ambiance. Red walls and modern decor. Music is a little bit loud.

~Going through the line can be overwhelming and might be confusing for first timers.

~Don't mix the seafood with the other meat. They tend to get overcooked.

It was an interesting experience. If you want something quick, filling, and offers wide selection, this is your place. Don't expect other food line. This is exclusively Mongolian Grill.

Below is a photo of a home that I listed on October 17, 2008 and successfully closed escrow November 14, 2008. Within three days of being on the market and four showings later. Viola! Two offers were submitted. Our original asking price was $199,000. We closed escrow in 28 days, and it was sold for $203,000. Sold in three days and above asking price!

The experience was absolutely fantastic. Husband and I went there for dinner on a weekday. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated us promptly. The manager thanked us on our way out and opened the door for us.

It is located next to Lowe's (South side of town).

Favorites:

~Our server, Courtney. She is very friendly and attentive. She can't stop smiling.

~Biscuit.
It came standard with our entrees. Warm and buttery biscuit. Yummy! Refill please!

~Grilled Scallops, Shrimps, and Chicken.
I uploaded a photo below. It was tasty and cooked to perfection. The chicken breast was tender and juicy. The scallops and shrimps were also impressively cooked. ($17.25)

~Grilled Lobster, Shrimps, and Scallops ($25.99)
Husband loved it. He said it was very tasty and prepared to perfection as well. I think it was pricey.

~Chocolate Lava Cookie
Big warm cookie topped with Vanilla ice cream. Big enough for sharing. Oh yeah, baby! ($6.25 ).

Tips:

~They DO accept American Express. :-)
~Plenty of parking.
~They now serve grilled fresh fish. Salmon..halibut.. etc...

My husband and I were very pleased with the restaurant and experience. So, why not give it five stars? Four stars because for few bucks more we can have all-you-can eat seafood buffet at Peppermill Hotel Casino.
