As we move into the new year there are hopes of a more stable real estate market. Predictions of home values to stabilize in 2011, and hopes of more sales than the most recent years. As supply still sits at 12-16 months in most areas will values really stabalize? There is something out there called "shadow inventory" that could prolong the real estate rutt since the bubble burst. Shadow inventory is exactly as it sounds....you don't see it. Think of all the homeowners out there that have not listed their homes due to the horrible sellers climate of late.
