Dallas Luxury Foreclosures on the rise - 07/19/10 06:49 PM
Steve Brown of the Dallas Morning News wrote an article on July 16, 2010 that talked about how more and more million dollar homes in North Texas is getting foreclosed on.Currently the average debt on the roughly 8,800 homes that have been foreclosed this year is about $135,000, but in the last 18 months Foreclosure Listing Service's data shows that more than 130 homes valued at or above a million dollars have been foreclosed.The good news is that foreclosure postings have fallen for the 4th straight month. The July 8, 2010 New York Times had an article about how many homeowners who had a mortgage over a millcion dollars is behind. Housing Delinquencies Shoot Up in May - 07/07/10 05:26 PM
After the last few months of late mortgage payments declining, Lender Processing Services Inc is reporting that late payments increased in May. The states with the highest delinquent loan rates were: Florida, Nevada, Mississippi, Georgia, Arizona, Californina, Illinois, Ohio and Indiana. The states with lowest delinquency loan rates were: North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Nebraska, Vermont, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota.Texas was not listed in the best or the worst state but what I am seeing right now is a lot of new homes pop up on the default list.
